Bryce Bound Mutants - remember

HYDRATE!

Also, 15 from Vegas to St. George is an easy drive. There is a 5.5% downward grade - but the approach is very slow. There is some construction and 1 lane slow down coming into the gorge but nothing to worry about.

And don't forget the oddball Idahoan's gunfight tactics. Watch for falling branches! BTW, this happened close to where we live.

Speaking of needing the water, here in Williams, AZ the city just doubled the water rate. The Rv park, in an effort to conserve, is using rain water in their indoor pool. Sign says its treated like required BUT, it sure looks dingy! Haven't seen anyone in the water yet!

Another day at the Canyon before we head to the North Rim.
Can't wait to see everyone at Bryce, those that won't be there can read about it in the book, non readers can watch the movie! It's going to be a Mutant Epic Event!

'Mornin y'all! It's 4:30 pm here in the West Country, time for a cuppa and a sit-down with mutant friends. Quick while there's signal!

Our train ride the other day, courtesy of Possum's recommendation, was great fun. Woody Bay Station is truly out in the middle of nowhere, a perfect setting for a vintage re-creation of a narrow-gauge RR. Our tickets allowed us to ride all day as many times as we wanted, so we went twice.

Our first trip was in First Class: padded velvet seats and a private volunteer guide. (Unexpected good fortune, that!) The day was just clear enough that we could see across ranks of hills and the Severn (River) Estuary to Wales, past hillsides full of sheep. Not a bit of modern urbanization in sight besides the train with its little steam engine.

The second round trip (each one all of 2 miles out and back) was in 3rd class: polished wooden slats for the benches and only a family with their dog for co-passengers. Dog & children loved it, too!

Dogs are accepted so many places here, where we wouldn't expect them. Several rode the train, but it is also common to see them in pubs, and almost all of them are perfectly well socialized and well-behaved. It's unusual to see one even straining at its leash, and never a bark. How do they do that?!

Pics asap, if connection will allow. Thanks, Possum!
