Herb - I grabbed your last update and added TLGPE so I believe the list below is where we stand for now. Not sure who might be hiding in the wings other than Possum. I recognize April is months away so all confirmed are at least a little tentative - but wondering if there others out there who are pondering and not yet identified??

Given the 3 day advance notice for refund - I want to encourage all mutants to speak up (unheard of I know) if pondering. We do have sites reserved - but don't want to come down to having mutants scattered around the park if we can help it.

April 24-30rh 2014 First Ever RVM Grande Curiosity - Lake Catherine Arkansas
Site List

Does this cross check oh wise one of the mutant site selection process?

Errmm I think you missed Sky Boss, he said something about wanting #121,

The temps sound great for April, is there a place where we can get firewood for campfires, since Marcia and I dont do a lot of campfires it sounds very relaxing to be able to have one, and besides what better way to while away the evening hours with an adult beverage and the company of good friends and talking about different places we've been to.

Cheers !!!

By the way.... We need to begin thinking about some activities ie: pot luck dinners, group excursions etc for those that would like to participate. Now the big question......who will step up and be our mutant activities co-ordinator? All can contribute ideas and we can put together an itinerary in advance. Also how would you all feel about a private mutant directory with names, addresses, cell phone, email addy. Etc.?

17 are signed up for the Grand Curiosity and we need more! This is a shout out to all mutants who haven't indicated one way or the other. We really would like to have you join us in April next year in Hot Springs AR.

^^^^ Herb - I had full intentions of getting that "private roster" done but it's been hard to get to out here "part timing on the rainbow". We head home Saturday - and back to work Monday. Once back in my "routine" I'll get back on that. I think we can post it via the RVM2RVM group - but don't think all attendees have signed up yet. And some like me - have had a little difficulty figuring out how the darn thing works. The group email works well so it may be the distribution method. I have several folks derails in my inbox as well. Just have to get back on it.

As for social coordinator - you're on target. Need one - but need ideas too - and to block free time for the kayakers - birders - power parachuters - bike riders - fishing crew - etc to do their thing.

Lots to do but plenty of time! And who would have thought a few months ago that such enthusiasm would bring so many of us together so soon.

Note - I have reached out to RVM1 various times and ways to no avail. Hopefully they are safe on the rainbow.

X2 I know there was mention of some pot luck suppers and perhaps a pot luck BACON breakfast or two, I know there are boat rentals and depending on the number of people that would like a water excursion it could help to reduce the cost of renting a boat, ie: the pontoon, But not knowing the mindset of all of our mutant minds its hard to fathom just exactly what is going to trip the triggers of such a wonderfully varied group. I would be willing to assist or at least attempt to assist someone that has the skills to be the coordinator of mutant activities ... and I think a mutant directory would be a good idea as well, personally for me I like to call people by their names and not their avatar names, I am slowly learning some but not all.

Cheers !!!

Florescent Light Question

Ok my Fellow Mutants,

I have a question, I have a florescent light in the coach that doesnt want to work all the time, I have a switch on the light, and another switch for the same light on the wall. For a time using the wall switch the light wouldnt come on, my remedy at the time was, leave the wall switch on and use the switch on the light itself, well now the problem is that when I turn the light switch on, I have to give the light a small tap of the fingers and it will light.
Now its not that I need this light to work, there are plenty of other lights, but I would like the light to work properly since I have it, could it be just the Thin-Lite bulbs are getting bad ? or would it be the exciter thats getting bad ?. Any suggestions would be a big help.

Cheers !!!

I'll be headed for the woods in a few hours and I'll get some more food. Pot luck sounds good I can do a RVing 101Class go over any questions some might have about camping , boondocking , or full timing, or workamping. If y'all would like or a class on rv up keep. Or repair. What do y'all think?
