I have been at 7700 ft for two months and spent a day last week above 11,000 ft with no problems.
Having said that if you experience headaches, nausea, extreme shortness of breath or difficulty breathing with normal exertion you need to get down to a lower altitude.
Hope everyone does OK, just take it easy for the first few days and have a great time.
I have a family member not doing well, so I'm leaving for home this morning.

Thanks for the altitude info Jim.
So sad to hear of your family situation and early high country departure. Travel safely. East Texas will be there. Many Ommms to you, Ginny and the family. Sorry we missed you!

More pics of St. George, Utah. And there's much more to see right here in town.

St. George is also know as Dixie due to the great "southern" type weather. Dixie State University, founded in 1911. The Temple here is the first Morman temple in the west. SLC was under construction so St. George is historic as well as beautiful - founded in 1877. Visitors are not allowed in the temple, but there is a visitors center.

When I was in SLC years back, I went into the Temple there as part of some visitors program they had. Odd they wouldn't allow visitors into the one in St. George.

You have to be a church member for some reason.

Richard and Ann - hope the meds mellow out and you can feel comfortable getting out on the rainbow soon.
Visit to ER Sunday midnight has Ann on the right track to health...

The prior "Cure" seemed to be worse than the "Problem"...

The RX Bactrim - she has been taking - seemed to "Drain" Ann's levels of: Magnesium, Potassium & Sodium & counts VERY LOW...

So Dr admitted her to hospital to "Add Oil etc" gently and she will spend a second night to slowly build her up.

I expect she will be better than new tomorrow (Tuesday).

Thanks for all the Ohmmmmssss...

Well just don't let her eat the food there. Could lead to an extended stay. Now my smoked pork butts... they have healing powers!

The high street in our local village is decked out in hanging flower baskets and looks a right treat.

Mine is the Old Peculiar.

These are known here as real ales. Theakstons are sponsoring the Old Peculiar crime writing contest and it occurred to me that Steve might like to enter his M@RLG. Go Google them to find out details.
