Hey, nice! You are getting the hang of pressing the little camera button. Your photos are telling a story. Even the tree photo.

Somewhere in my uncharted wandering, I encountered a professional photographer that mentioned the most irksome question he is frequently asked is ... "Great photo, what type of camera does that?" He said he feels like making a snarky comment about the camera is dumb, but the photographer has a brain.

[QUOTE=Wayne M;2710762]Sir, that is a sleek seal, not a walrus. Sheesh!

Happy to hear you are headed toward the coast. Stay on it as long as you can. You will want to return year after year just to stay comfortable. Klamath, CA is about 150 miles south of there on the coast. It is (was at least) a Passport America CG. Good for a night or several nights. The last pull through spot in as you are going into the CG is the cats meow, right on the mouth of the Klamath River and what a view.

I looked at the map when we were traveling and the exit/entrance to Hwy 1 at Leggit did not look good. Looked like some hairpin turns on the 1 so we stayed on the 101. Once you pass Eureka the night price of CG's goes up double, and you have to pay for the extra "heat."

Depending on your schedule you could make Santa Rosa, CA and then on to Bakersfield, then link up with us - but hurry. Hee hee.

Hold it !! You best not be building a campfire in one of my Wal-Mart parking lots fella. Repairing that hole in the blacktop is gonna cost me some stock dividends. Go in the store and buy a ton of "stuff". I need a boost.

By the way ... fellow Mutants, the stock market is open this AM. Place your bets folks. Step right up, don't be shy. Ignore the guy behind the curtain.

Yep. They are really pretty. Deep blue, very cautious and quick. Wiki says...

The Steller's jay (Cyanocitta stelleri) is a jay native to western North America, closely related to the blue jay found in the rest of the continent, but with a black head and upper body. It is also known as the*long-crested jay, mountain jay, and pine jay. Colloquially it is also referred to as a blue jay in parts of the Pacific Northwest, though it is a distinct species from the blue jay of eastern North America. It is the only crested jay west of the Rocky Mountains.

So yep, it's a Blue Jay. Also indicted that there is some mixing of the Blue Jay and Steller's Jay in Colorado.

They are just so hard to get a pic of here.
