Thanks for checking in!

I saw a sign today for an Amish store here... not sure if they have a restaurant or not.

Hi Jackie! High Sheba!

Where are Dale and Deb and Steve and Mary Ann?

Richard and Ann - you two still rolling and safe?

Other mutants check in...

Well, I saw where you found the home that the spoon belonged to. I'd have given every penny in my pocket that it was Tim's soup spoon.

So after a GC... even a 4 hour drive is tiresome. I'm ready to sleep in tomorrow...
Later Mutants...

Me too... I was sure it was his... I guess if you don't like the broth, it could come in handy... last night Papaw Steve, Mary Ann, Jeff, Marcia and Annie had some tortilla soup that was delicious... I had to sneak a taste of Annies - it was loaded with chicken.... just the right kick, and quite tasty. No slotted spoon necessary. Ruby's was a pretty cool place.

Reporting in

We are sitting in Brigham City at the Golden Spike RV park.

The trip thru Provo and Salt Lake City was ONE continuous city for 50 miles or so. The valley was so appealing, everyone is living there.

To all mutants that know the story - - - parked for the night and Mary Ann said "did you see the new tire" (that's the wrong size by the way), "it has no tread" So mismatched tire that was smaller than its axle mate was run smooth in 2,000 miles.

Past office hours, a tech showed up with 2 new tires for the front end (Falken 255/70R/22.5). Took the best front tire to the inside dually area. A mere $1,088. Did you catch that Annie? Yes the replacement started with "one thousand and". I now have two tires in the toad, a decent Michelin spare and a piece of _d _ u_ n _ g Yokahama that the boys in Indiana told me it was "the matching tire for a Michelin 80R (and I'm returning it to his place of business). Geesh am I ticked.

Well, it sounds like all you STMs who were at Bryce had a fantastic time! Hope everyone makes it home ok.

We have reservations at Palo Duro Canyon this weekend, but I think we're going to have to cancel. Bow's not out of the shop yet. Freightliner has had her a week and a half. Every other day they tell me they're going to "put her in the bay today" or "our guy is going to look at it this afternoon." I hate to think that they are just flat out lying about when they worked on her or are going to work on her. It sure does feel like I'm getting the run-around. I need to sic Wayne on 'em!

Even if Bow's out of the shop, I may need to spend the weekend with my 87 y/o mom, who is getting over double pneumonia. Ommmmms for her are deeply appreciated. She's very weak. Was in hospital for 5 days and in rehab for 10 days after that. Home now, but very, very weak.

Kate just sold her Conga and Djembe drums as well as most of her hand percussion instruments. Sad, sad day. I, on the other hand, will never sell my guitar.

We are in North Ogden. We got here in time to go for the last page for our geocache challenge. We played leap frog with Steve and Mary Ann going up I15. We head into Idaho tomorrow.
