R U an RV Mutant too?

Jumping ahead of myself here to post while I still have signal, I'll do ketchup later.

Yesterday in Faversham (Kent), we found a fabulous yarn shop(pe), inside this building:

If you enlarge the red-orange sign on the upper left, you'll see the place was built in 1240. Low ceilings, exposed beams, well-worn threshold speak volumes.

The scene down West Street:

Yes, I bought a hat at The Hat Shop!

More in a minute.

More, as promised. It was market day, stalls all around (& under!) the Town Hall. Just look at the wooden posts supporting the building. They've been there quite a while.

Today is catching-a-plane day, so I'll get back to ya when I can. Be safe and enjoy the journey!

Cheers!

Man, that's the truth! Have you seen him lately? And have you looked up a flu? Santa couldn't get one leg down a flu. Before he got too large for flus (when he was in high school, he was a star running back) he used to slide down 'em like jellied eels down Martin's throat. But, like many of us, when he got to be middle-aged and older, he started spreading ... and I don't mean jam on toast. On top of that, he has to deal with Mrs. Claus, who never lets up about how he never takes her anywhere with him and how she is sick of snow and how their house is always cold and how she's ready for him to retire so they can move to Ft. Meyers so they can finally have some neighbors.

Sheesh! Can you blame the poor guy for picking locks???

Ok, I'll refrain. But, you know we kinda like Wayne.

You're so right about Pacific air ... it's good for everyone. I just wish it would work up some rain to send over the drought-stricken areas out there.

We would if the entire time before the white man showed up was considered part of American history but we all know that doesn't happen.

So true, Carl. There is a rich history among native American cultures, but I think most of us are painfully ignorant of it.

My dad was fascinated by that history and studied it all his life. He took us to Mesa Verde National Monument in SW Colorado. We saw the mummified woman before they reburied her. (Which was the right thing to do.) We got to walk through the cliff dwellings and I was absolutely mesmerized.

When Kate & I are traveling, we want to see as many Native American historical sites as possible. We're going to start with the Alibates Flint Quarries National Monument up in the Texas Panhandle. That flint was traded all over north America for thousands of years. My dad went there many times. It was like holy ground for him.

Thanks for pointing out the sad truth .....

Geesh it's 4 AM and I'm wide awake! Today is moving day.... Regretfully leaving the SF Bay Area and moving South. The weather up here has been fantastic! Low 70's with light ocean breezes and NO SMOKE! I could easily plant myself right here if I could talk Barb into it. On the other hand, these bridge toll fees nickel and dime you to death cept is $5 for this one and $7 for that one. God forbid you get caught without "cash" cause they don't do cards......minimum fine $100 plus the toll....we ain't in Texas anymo!

Anyway look out Cowboys cause daddy is comin to training camp to check on the progress! Oh yeah.... gonna meet up with Wayne and Earlene for a few days too! Now figer dis.... We live bout 5 hours from them and we are lucky to get down there once a year. Wander 2000 miles West and who do we bump into?

Anyway you muteys have yourselves a wonderful mutanistic day! ( Barb there is another one for your list- mutanistic- the act of a mutant to wonder aimlessly about the rainbow)

High school history book publishers can't keep up with all the changes in "history". It is being reworded, sanitized through politically correct filters, places renamed, scoundrels praised, heroes denigrated, and facts ignored or replaced with fantasy.

Appears they have stumbled and face-planted over the math portion of the exam.
