Nope the State Department won't give her a passport. I had to leave her in Yuma while I went across the border for dental care. Mexico would let her in, but the U.S. wouldn't let her come home. That is considered importing a monkey which became illegal back in the 70s.

Annie and I and Jeff and Marcia leave Provo on Thursday and will head to Green River for 2 nights - then Grand Junction for 2 nights - AND then - Montrose Colorado for a month beginning the 14th.
And as a added bonus - on 9/21 we will see Joe Ely play at http://www.turnofthecenturysaloon.co...N/Welcome.html

It's a coincidence that he'll be there when we are - Rainbows are that way!

Seriously Sue... I hadn't checked his schedule since leaving RGV for the Hail of A GC. He was playing in Longview but we opted out. I checked 2 nights ago and viola. We had reserved our places in Montrose days before. Just dump mutant luck. And the venue has 123 seats... heck the place is older than the seating capacity!

We just met a wonderful couple, who invited us to join the local Good Sam chapter. They are definitely mutant material, and assured Mary and I that their chapter is diverse and inclusive. Hmmm...something to ponder

Brilliant! What good fortune to find another such group, though none so wacky as this one! I say ponder away and then do what seems right for you.
Tell those folks about the crazies over here, too. You know there's a huge bounty for bringing in newbies! (Fingers crossed behind my back...😏

Tim, y'all went to Mesa Verde Nat'l Park, right? Did you go through Pagosa Springs on the way home? If so, you passed close by our home in Pagosa. It's maybe a mile off the highway in the Pagosa Lakes development. View of Pagosa Peak from the front patio. Renter in there for now, but we may kick him out in a few years and move up there. ;-) Be a great place for a GC or midi.
|
We drove South out of Moab then east to Mesa Verda , then continued to Durango where we turned South to Albuqurque! No Pagosa this trip but sounds nice!

Thanks Tim, but we are here for the week. And Steve, thanks for the heads up, gives me plenty of time to prepare!

Braddyville, IA. It's on SR-71 just north of the Missouri line, north of St. Joseph, MO.
Also, I saw the duckling photo. I always thought a container of ducklings would be called a box of quackers...
