Great pics Mel !!!! And well done too, once you get the Genny right you really should drive her for a year or two to find out what she can do. If you wish to travel the mountain grades of the great west, you will want the power of the diesel to do so. The Allison transmission will get you there with power to spare !!!

Cheers !!!

Wayne, y'all should have stayed there. It's free for 3 days, then only $25 a night after that. 50/30 amp plus water. Dump station in park. They only have 7 sites, but every time we've gone over, we've gotten a spot. You're by the little airport and will occasionally get to see small planes take off or land. It really is a great little park for travelers or just for a weekend get-away.

Couple of good Mexican restaurants in town. And Levelland is home to South Plains College, a 2 year community college. Sheryl Swoops is one of their most famous alumns. (If you don't follow women's college basketball, you may not know Sheryl.) They also have a world class Bluegrass music program and recording engineering program. Students come from all over the world (literally) to study bluegrass music. Levelland, TX. Who'd a-thunk it?
Does it have a grass strip? Sounds like might be our sort of spot to bring the power chute...

Wonderful! I began to think Bow was a figment of our tortured imaginations. Now Kate, otoh, is a good camera subject and very definitely the real thing. Sweet pic!

I'm putting Levelland on my list of places to stop. It looks restful and quiet. Now I have to go get out the TX map! And a pin. 😍

Marty, I think its a concrete (or pavement of some kind )strip, but maybe I can find out more about it for you.

We would love to have a mini with y'all at the little RV park in Levelland!

Lol. Everybody out here will crack up that you're thinking of Levelland as a destination! (Just ask Steve the Potentate.) But there is plenty to see out here: Google these things:
1. Silent Wings Museum
2. National Wind Power Museum
3. Texas Tech Ranching Heritage Center
4. Buddy Holly Center
5. Caprock Canyons State Park
6. Palo Duro Canyon State Park (ask Barb and Sena)
7. Panhandle Plains Museum at West Texas A&M Univ.(One of the finest museums of it's size in the country.)
8. Kate & Mel ;-)

Everybody underestimates things to do here.

I do my best to amuse! 😜😆

Underestimating a place's attractions is easy enough to do when you're living there. It's just wallpaper, sort of, isn't it, until you really start to think about it, or look at the map, or get a CC brochure.

Thanks for the list. Add a mutant or 2 to that list and it's even more appealing! Oh, you did! 😘

GPS: 33.55353, -102.37509 Near park entry

You probably could put down on the mowed area between the taxiway and the RV park.
