Appreciate all of the Ohmmmmms. And yes, the doctors are getting younger & younger. I thought it was just because I was getting older, NOT!!!!!

All I have to do is take a look at Di's sons and I realize how dedicated they are, just like their friends [who are docs].

My operation is routine by today's standards, but no operation is really routine. The doc tells us that, in an attempt to calm us down. They have been in & out of my heart so many times, that the slicing & dicing to replace the ICD is a no brainer.

Moonover [aka YOU] just make sure your surgeon wins when he plays with his OPERATION, buzzer game. I just hope that my kidney[s] will stay where they are for a while.

My father was born in Tupper Lake, NY. Spent many a summer vacation there in my younger days. A couple years ago we stayed at the city camp ground on Litlle Wolf Lake. Our 40 foot MH was quite the site for the locals.

Mel, Larry, Moonrover - so many Ohhmmms coming your way.

Moonrover - you'll be out driving the bus in no time at all.

Larry, ask for the Energizer Bunny batteries. You'll be able to "go" all night long.

Mel, walk in the park. It will only hurt while doing PT but when it is all over with it will be well worth it.

Larry, you are so right ... no operation can be really considered "routine." But you have terrific, competent doctors and the odds are very much in your favor! Shoot, you're an ol' pro at this heart surgery stuff! Please know that Kate & I will be thinking of you on the 17th. Kate is really good with the praying thing, so will be keeping that line to the Great Spirit open and buzzing.

Di, we (meaning Mel) will be checking in on the forum on surgery day for updates. Kate will ask me for reports. She never reads stuff here ... just depends on me to keep her up to date on important stuff.

Wayne, you usually make me laugh out loud. (And I am not kidding.) Did it again here.

Speaking of "Energizer Bunny" ... do you have an "Off" switch? I bet Earlene needs a freakin' break once in a while!
I know we all do.

I just texted Di, "I love this Mutant family." What a group!

I'd not recommend this as a method for dropping a couple of pounds.

However the doc is very upbeat about my survival chances. He said he loses very few under the knife. Huh? The reason I don't go to gambling casinos is ... I like to have 100% assurances of winning.

Just in case however, I've been giving the Little Red Hen a crash course on important financial stuff, as well as how to deal with the bus and vehicles so she can sell them if need be.
Oh, my! Moon, you will also be in our thoughts, with Kate sending prayers to the Great Spirit on your behalf. (I think her connection is pretty good. )

We want you on the Rainbow for a long time. We haven't had the pleasure of meeting you face-to-face yet! There are many GCs in your future.

Major, big time OOOOHHMMMMS headed your way. Have you schooled the Little Red Hen in how to post here so we can know you sailed thru the surgery?

I happen to be a surgery pro. I've had 17 surgeries, all but one from 2002 to 2014 and most were fixing what morbid obesity caused. I was never nervous mostly because I did my homework and selected great surgeons.

Listen to your gut. If it tells you that you can trust your surgeon jump on the table and shout, "let's go". A positive attitude will affect your outcome in a positive way.
