Did You See the Numbder of views?

Hey Mutants,

I dont know if you have seen the number of views this thread has generated, but its over 60,100. For the short time the mutants have been mutating I think this is a great milestone. Pats on the back to everyone around, this is a special place in iRV2dom.

To those of you that have read the posts but arent sure if you have mutated enough yet, just read the first pages and find out that the "Journey is the Destination" and tell us about the things you dont have and dont miss, and you could be a part of this wonderful mutated group of mutants, mutating a little bit more each and everyday.

Cheers !!!

^^^ - I bet 1/3 of the views are Bruce keeping up with us since trading is "M" is for Mutant for the lesser known "M" is for Moderator.

The RVMdom is a beautiful place - and the thread is a constant reminder of why we love the RVM life. Not the least of the call of the journey is the great people ya meet or will soon meet at the First Ever Grande Curiosity!

Thanks Jeff for sounding the call for mutants. We have plenty of room on the Rainbow!

Hey Steve !!

You are most welcome and I will do as much as I can to help out when I can as well.

This coming Tuesday Marcia and I will be connecting with Dave and Nola for a mini curiosity and a trip up to Big Bug Mesa. Marcia and I are excited and awaiting this time with the Grand Poobah of the RVMdom, well its more like we are really excited to meet Dave and Nola and have a chance to trade stories and just visit. Isnt it wonderful when you find out that the ends of two rainbows can converge in the same spot.

So when you consider the ramifications and the ponderances of 17 or more rainbows all converging at Cathrine's Landing in Hot Springs, Arkansas it is quite and amazing feat !!!

Dave and I will make sure photos are taken and supplied to the mutants !!

Cheers !!!

Southbound Journey Delayed

Hi Ho Mutants!

With mixed emotions I have decided to stay in the Northwet, as Dennis (Possum) refers to this part of the world. I had planned to journey some 3500 miles to Central Florida for the winter.

But... That little voice in the back of my head started screaming at me, "DON'T DO IT!!!" Being a wee bit wiser than in years past, this time I listened.

Time has taken a toll on my knees and both probably need full replacement. My greatest fear would be having a knee emergency somewhere in the middle of our journey where I wouldn't have any help with the fur kids.

The good news is that I become Medicare eligible on Nov 1st, YEAH! We are staying with our friends who have the place on the Columbia River. I have enrolled in a Medicare advantage plan and I await my membership card.

A former owner of this place installed an RV garage, but the current owners have not mutated in the RV direction. So, after letting the air out of my air lifts, we fit inside with 3/4 of an inch of height to spare. We now have a 1 bedroom garage apartment with a Ford 350 Super Duty engine.

We WILL be at the Grand Curiosity in April, for sure! That will be as far east as we go in 2014 and then we'll mosey back slowly. The Docs will get a second chance to fix what I've managed to damage next summer so that beginning Fall 2014 we can truly let our journey be the destination.

Our Lady of Guadalupe. Fatima is one of the ones with the white dress. I love the story of Juan Diego and how the image came to be. That, and it is just plain pretty. I love Icons.

I think my hubby is already a roppie. He has a strand hanging down the hallway here so that nobody has to turn on any lights to find their way to the bathroom at night.

My guess is there will be some with our rig when we get it done and hit the road.

That's EXACTLY what I use my outside outlets for. Add charging my battery powered leaf blower and my portable air compressor!

I was really hoping to make a trip to the Grand Curiosity in April, but the plan to sell our trawler, and pick out our RV, fell thru yesterday. Buyer couldn't get his financing arranged. So wanted to be there!! Yeah60,000+ views is impressive. So far I've REALLY enjoyed this group of Mutants and will continue to follow your Grand Exploits till I can join you. By the way I'm a closet ropie, but I'm in a program!!

Barb - you are a fortunate mutant indeed. I'm not sure if the others were aware of your knee issues, but you have mentioned it to me before and it's been in the back of my mind. I'm glad you're going to take this opportunity to have them fixed. Hopefully the government will get back to work and get your papers processed quickly and you can get to a specialist soon.

Having such a nice place for you and the fur kids to mutate at this time must be such a relief. We will all be in your corner cheering you on. Let me be the first to send up the call -
Ommm Ommm Speedy Recovery Ommm!

Keep us informed and all the best!

Well one never knows when a buyer may show up. I'm sure there is a seasonal influence but it's not unheard of for folks to do things "off season". And - unless you're buying new (some do, I would not), you may still make it! A lot can happen between now and April 24th.

Remember - once an RVM, always an RVM. You have a lot to figure out regarding what rig will meet your needs, and how you will mutate. Hang with us - ask questions here and in the broader forum and act like it's going come together on schedule. Keep making and working the plan. The good thing about this sort of plan is that revising it is free. There are no consequences for changing the date - and the upside is you'll be ready when the time is right. This delay is just part of your journey - it is not a destination.

Keep posting, sharing, learning and growing with us. We're all saving your place on the Rainbow.

Mike sorry to hear your deal fell thru. Keep the faith brother and something will come along. In the meantime at CL they have these neat things they call Yurts. It's a fully furnished room in a round hard sided tent looking thingamajiggy! It's got air and heat, it's own outside deck and would be great for you and Harriet to stay in so you could still come join us at the Grand Curiosity. We would love to have you guys there if possible. Dock the boat, rent a car and come join us....of course take some Dramamine till you get your landlubber legs back. LOL Anyway you can go to their website and ck. em out and they are right there by the Pavillion we will be using so you wouldn't even have to walk far.
