It would be very easy to loose it when a tech says - hey, do you have an appointment etc. We mutants learn to laugh at such baiting!
We have come to view Bonita as a family member. We are dedicated to her, and she to us. When things go wrong, just like a child or other family member, we pony up and throw our support and love and resources into making things right. It isn't always easy and often trying, but our rainbow riders are a part of us. They make us laugh and cry and enrich our lives.
And that's all I have to say about that, except.... Bella will be as good as new before ya know it and we'll see you in Az!
PS. We miss youse...

Tech comes to the door, wants to know who we are. Do we have an appointment. How do we spell our name. Ummmm....? He can't find paperwork for us.
?????
He goes off, and returns with paperwork, while my nerves mark time jangling. Well yes, by golly, we do have an appointment, what a surprise!
I get in a half mile walk while Martin & the tech go through the list, then he has to go in & verify the insurance.
I'll knit while I wait, I think, and that's when I discover that in the morning's rush I've ripped a piece of knitting off the needle.
TBC.

Aaarrrgh! Beginners like me have near panic attacks over knitting mishaps. The baby blanket I'm working on with a timeline(due beginning of Jan. which sounds so far away, but looms closer each time I have to undo a section and fix boo boos) had to have a whole color stripe removed and redone. That's what happens when I try to knit and gab at the same time...you'd think i'd learn...

Good morning! Everybody has such stories, don't they, and everybody needs a smile for good health.
Non-knitters won't understand what a disaster I thought I had created. More jangling of nerves.
It isn't as bad as I thought, so w/in 10 minutes I am back on track. And where's Martin?
If it takes this long, is there yet another problem? Five more minutes...knit, knit...another five minutes...knit, knit, knit.... Here he is, what's the problem? "Oh, nothing. We were just chatting." Aaahhhh. 😅
On the road again. 😎 It's Amish country back roads for a while instead of interstates...horses, bicycles, and wagons. Harvesting has begun. The journey is good.

Today we get the lay of the land... what's about town and where is the Walmart and Home Depot lol. Sun is up and it's warm now. A little brisk this morning.
Been dragging our feet so far today. Next up showers and checking out the locals. Tonight - steaks and fixings with Jeff and Marcia. Yum.

Went outside with the pups for their morning jaunt. I looked up at our resident mountain and noticed it snowed up there last night. I wish some of the precipitation we are getting would drop way further south of us were it is desperately needed. Can't believe what we are seeing on the news.

The beauty of dragging your feet is only enhanced by the fact that we will be here a month.
Cheers !!!

It's all good, even if I allowed myself a little frazzle time. 😳 I just knew it could be seen as an amusing story, as well as a sequence of events others could identify with. N'est pas?
Bella, as usual, was her cool, calm self, demonstrating perfectly on command what her needs were. Unflappable. 😎
BTW, we are home, having our various cuppas, and having offloaded the various bags we threw into the Jeep this morning.
Missin y'all too. I'm just about ready (not quite, but almost) for some AZ time with friends! Cheers!

Aaarghhh, indeed! But you do learn, every time you have to go back and re-do. By January, you'll be a master at it!
Pics, of course, are required...or at least requested. Pretty please?

Is this the trip that will see you trading rainbow riders, Carl? I hear Hersey is even bigger than the Tampa show. Have fun!

So you can only knit when you are home alone? With so many in your clan, I can see that being difficult. Maybe you should take your knitting out to the garden. I've noticed everyone disappears when they think there is weeding to be done.

That's a wonderful perspective on these beastly machines. I like it. It's a member of the family and needs to be addressed as such. Thanks!!!

You got that right! It's hard to count and get interrupted because Bob never sees what is right in front of his nose in the kitchen, and of course with Mark and Nancy now living here... more stuff to be done, answered, etc.
