Don, we plan to be in that part of MI next summer. Did you camp at private RV parks? State parks? Can you recommend any particular parks or campgrounds in that area?

Rvm13 checking in. Left the Cleveland area September 11th. Spent 10 glorious days incoming around western Ontario visiting relatives. Some beautiful blue water on the Shores of Lake Huron. I had the best brisket I ever had in Goderich.
We made our way to Mackinaw city, stayed for 3 days looking at the Dunes and crystal clear water of Lake Huron and Lake Michigan. I've never taken the time to thoroughly explore till now. We had a beautiful drive up the UP of Michigan on our way to Green Bay.
Tonight we are near Lacrosse Wisconsin in a Walmart located in Onalaska. It looks like we are convoying with 2million $s of Prevosts. We are parked right behind them.
If Walmart is good enough for million dollar rigs, its good enough for us!
We should be at Mt Rushmore by Sunday!
CYA....

If we things work out we will be heading west after that well south of the snow line. I envision stops in Las Cruces NM, Tucson and Phoenix and maybe even Flagstaff (too far north, but if senior grandson is there we will be too.

Our westward endpoint is Jojoba Hills Escapee Resort near Temecula CA. We will mostly stop there until further offshore travel the end of March.

I'll let you all know of our trouble free travels as we move about and hope to catch up with some of you.
We will find and make you eat great food and laugh. Adult beverages are optional. Tonight I had a Shiner Bock while frying fish followed by iced tea with the meal.

Apache Junction yesterday $2.19 for diesel.

Potluck and games at our CG tonight. Good folks and a few marginal food items. I played Skip Bo as partners. Good twist on the "every player for themselves" usual game. My partner was 92 and one opponent was 90. Both were sharp as tacks.

107 degrees today in AJ and one of the residents wore a thigh length heavy sweater to the potluck. A/C worked but it was by no means chilly.

Hi Colleen, Annie, Marcia, Earlene, Sue, Di, Nola, Mel, Kate, Cheryl, Jackie, Marty, Deb, Mary, Elizabeth, Shara, Barb, Sandee, Mary, Sarah, Denise, and Gwevevere. I know I missed some but I tried my best. Love ya all. Don't tell Mary Ann.

^^^^^ watch your wallet when gaming with the youngens at these parks. They didn't get to their 90's and thriving in 107 degree heat without knowing how to play the game.

I'm not even going to attempt to name all the mutant mates... good start Steve.

Now if the five guests wave back tell us something their RV doesn't have but they don't miss and declare that "The Journey is The Destination" they could be part and parcel to this insanity.

They are actually Doggles -- googles made for dogs. I bought Lily a pair back when I thought we could use a small motor scooter as our toad. Dogs eyes need wind protection, too.
