Iff'n y'all still loves me I will try to find a guide that's online listing all the campgrounds (private, state and provincial) around the great lakes.
One of our best trips was just circumnavigating Lake Superior and hitting all the museums etc. along the way.
This ain't it but there are resources from all involved posted at the bottom.

Lol. I wondered. We need to actually be in Michigan because I have 2 sons there who will join us (individually, for part of the time).

We have been fortunate to be in the area twice in a couple years. The FANTASTIC weather we are having just adds to our love of MI.
I'm not all that familiar with parks since we are on the big side. Last year we stayed in Mackinaw Mill Creek CG and enjoyed it. For that last week we have been at Traverse Bay RV Resort on a special rate with the HOOTS group. Pricey but pretty good place. Lots of the areas around Traverse City, Petoskey and Mackinaw are pricey but the area is drop dead gorgeous. Of course, during peak tourist season very busy along the shore lines. If your coach is on the shorter side you could probably find more options.
We also spent time in the U.P. at Escanaba. That was for a Newmar rally and we didn't have to find a place but we look forward to some time there too.

I highly recommend Finn Road Park in Essexville, MI (Finn Road Park.com). It's a 5 - 10 minute walk to Saginaw Bay (Bay City area). Full services, well run, convenient location to the Thumb area and northwoods, and it was $21 a night last summer. It a city/township park. I taught school for 22 years in the Bay City area.
We loved the state parks of Michigan. Many are on beautiful lakes. Check out Burt Lake SP, Otsego Lake SP, Tawas SP, Bay City SP, Rifle River SP, Traverse City SP to name a few. HOWEVER, we tented and used a pop-up camper in these parks. Lots were usually large enough for a MH but I don't know if all updated their services since we left the state (economic problems limited the budget for SP). State park website should be helpful (Michigan.org).

King of the lazies here.
I seldom log off either.
I am thinking that their claims of most users online stats are skewed by those of us who just seldom log off.

Are you inferring there is something out there more flawed than you or I?

Quite possibly we are the baseline standard of comparison of what can be considered a flaw. It is good to feel recognized, eh?

Last time I was baseline anything I ended up spending the weekend in jail. Long campfire story for sure.
