Great to hear from you here and on FB, Judy.
Me thinks the RVM Temps at RVM Central may need to add a page to www.rvmutants.com with the RVM Lexicon. Me thinks.....

Judy,

Way back in the early days of RVMdom we were discussing what we should call a group of RVMs. We mentioned gaggles of geese, herds of cows and even a congress of baboons. Yes, congress is the correct term for a group of baboons. Someone offered the term "curiosity" which just seemed right. From that day on when mutants meet it is called a curiosity. So when plans were being made for our first large meeting in April, 2014 it was termed the Grande Curiosity.

BTW, a group of monkeys is a troop.

I send this out to all new RVMs

RVM Lexicon
Word -- meaning

Rainbow -- revered by all RV mutants as the best place to be. Rainbow riding is being in travel mode as an RVer. On the day RVMdom was created (April 14, 2013) the very first photo posted was of a sign that read "Universe Closed Use Rainbow.

RVM0 (RVM zero) -- the original RVM who brings presents to all good little boys, girls and RVMs every December 25th.

Curiosity -- a collection of 2 or more RVMs

Grande Curiosity (GC) -- when 10 or more RVMs get together to play. All GCs shall be numbered in order to provide clarity. The first GC will always be known as GC1.0. GCs may be followed by their location as in GC1.0@CL
which translates as Grand Curiosity at Catherine's Landing.

Mini-C -- a meeting of 2 or 3 RVMs

Midi-C -- a get together of more than 3, but fewer than 10 RVMs

MARLG -- Murder At Rope Light Gulch -- the mystery novel that RVM2, aka Flaggship, aka Steve is writing. Word has it that it's about a murder amongst those who live the mutant lifestyle.

Mutanistic -- the act of a mutant wondering aimlessly about the rainbow

Murker -- Mutant lurker

mutanistic -- the act of a mutant to wonder aimlessly about the rainbow.

Mutalicious -- wonderfully tasty. Food fit for royalty and RV Mutants

IWARP -- I Want A Rubi People -- that group of mutants who are hoping Santa, aka RVM0, will bring them a Jeep Rubicon

SOS -- Slower, Older, Smarter -- the state of most RVMs

STM -- Sick, Twisted Mutants

SLS -- Salt Lamp Society

SFM -- Sliding Finger Mutant

Finger Slide -- not a typing error, but when the typing finger slides to the key next to the correct key.

W--k -- What most people do Monday thru Friday in exchange for a paycheck before retirement. RV Mutants consider this word to be obscene so it is never used in polite company.

Toad -- any vehicle towed behind an RV

MH or Moho -- motorhome

DP -- diesel pusher (diesel fueled motorhome with a rear engine)

Family shortcuts

DW -- dear wife or the D may be a substitute for any other word starting with D such as darling, dangerous, damn or demented.
DH -- D____ husband
DD -- Darling daughter
DS -- Dear son
DGD -- Darling grand daughter
DIL -- daughter-in-law
SIL -- son-in-law or sister-in-law
BIL -- brother-in-law
Grands -- grandchildren

Barb if I remember correctly that conversation went something like this.

What do you call a bunch of mutants?
Someone said, I don't know but it would certainly be a curious crowd!
Then a bunch meeting up would be a curosity! The rest is history, at least till we change it!

It seems to me that PC is a term used when needed to either avoid or distort truth, truth that some people don't like or worse have decided that other people shouldn't see or hear.
As far as I'm concerned 1st amendment trumps PC all day.

Good analysis. Being more of an observer myself, I pay little attention to the PC types that fake insult/injury from any mention of anything contrary to their personal views and agenda. In a nutshell it is "their opinion counts ... yours does not".

Another observation is that "they" have been rather successful in continuing to make the 1st amendment a one-way street. I don't follow their street map, hence I'm a target for the PC police. Pshaw ... I care not.

For an animated feather duster, sometimes, you speak the truth. Most of the PC crowd I have come across are forever attemting to show everyone how you go about picking up doggie do-do by the clean end. I don't have the first amendment freedoms afforded you but I act like I do.

R U an RV Mutant too?

So, back on the Rainbow Rider (RR - RVM Lexicon?) today for an arduous 76 mile trip to Payson, AZ.
Adventures await us there and we will report back to RVMdom, the place where where contention finds no time paid to it.....where Ponders and revelry and ohms and such rule.
So where are the traveling RVMs going today?
Happy Trails
