Haven't been sleeping much at all since I've been home (and you know there is no such thing as sleeping in a hospital). So, rather than try to sleep through the night, I just nap whenever it hits me, no matter the time of day or night. Talk about a wonky schedule! But the knee cramps up after an hour or two in a chair or on the bed and I just gotta move it. So, I may be up on the walker at 11:00pm or 3:00am and may be asleep in the recliner at 10am or 4:00pm. I have no semblance of a schedule.

My therapist, David, is great. He's a young kid, but really knows his stuff. And since this is the 4th go-round with ortho surgery and rehab, I'm a bit of a seasoned patient. Ha. At least David is complimentary! Being a stubborn old broad, I want to get from point A to point Z as quickly as possible ... just like Barb, my role model for all things related to total knee replacements.

Bottom line is I'm coming along nicely and have even lost 5 lbs. (45 more to go, but who's counting?!) Many thanks to all of you for the many ohmmmms sent this way.

Hope everyone is well, happy, enjoying the Rainbow, and mutating whenever necessary or just for the heck of it! Looking forward to seeing y'all somewhere on the trail in the not-to-distant-future!

Ha! 'ja hear that, Wayne? You have to clean my house! A leaf blower will take care of the dust bunnies, dirty socks, spilled popcorn, dead flower petals and you can probably fold the towels with it.

But, no need to bring any food. I wish I could eat. Had some esophageal problems in the past, but yesterday and today, it's been pretty severe. Doc thinks I'm having esophageal spasms. Whatever it is, food gets stuck in my esophagus and takes forever to move on down to the stomach. It's painful. Yesterday, I ate two small bites (chewed it to death) of pizza (a friend brought us one from the best pizza place in Texas: West Crust Pizza) and it stuck in my esophagus from 5:00pm til 1:20am, moving a tiny bit with every spasm. At 1:20 I felt it move on through. Took a sip of water and no problem. Made a protein smoothie around 9:30 this morning and started feeling the darn esoph. close up again. So, while I'm really hungry, I'm afraid to try and eat. Have more of the smoothie, but even a tiny sip gets stuck for a bit and hurts.

If you can shove that leaf blower in my mouth and blow all this stuff on through, I'd appreciate it.

Well, sure is quiet when the kiddo goes home... no more trucks and cars zooming up the hall way, in the kitchen, and wherever I happen to be... no more repeating words all the time( he'll be 2 in end of November, and is learning words at quite a clip but not making more than 2-3 word sentences), but communicates his needs pretty well.
Tired... time for afternoon nap. Bet he's having a nap about now too!

Had a wonderful visit with Wayne and Earlene! It was great to see them and to hear more about their CA trip. They definitely sold us on Sedona. We will be adding that place to our itinerary.

Looks like Wayne did a fine job with the leaf blower! Does he do windows? I know who does the roof.
Everyone I see looks great. No selfies Mel? Miss all four of you!

We will be here for a week in Camp Verde.
http://ranchoverdervpark.com/RanchoV...m/Welcome.html
It is a small, quiet park with wonderful hosts. We got a great pull thru.
Mel, not far from Sedona, and near many other nifty places too!

Miss youse two!
My exhaust brake is always on unless I'm in a city doing 25 mph, then I turn it off to keep the lining from shellacking.

Oh, you remember! It works great as long as you remember to open the windows. Lubbock right now is 55˚ and Earlene just gave me some ice cream.

Darn! I saw this to late or I'd have grabbed your neck and I would have wrung it for you.

Soon as I' finished with the ice cream I'll post pictures of Mel and of Kate.

What Mel missed and didn't post!
Had a great time with Mel and Kate. Anyone in this area needs to pay them a visit and clean the house. Leaf blower was alright, but Kate still griped I missed some spots.

Mel and I moved at the same time so her picture is just a little blurry, but doesn't she still look nice?
