Depending on when we leave Vegas (Dr. Appt. 11/5) - we head first to Wickenburg for a week visiting friends. Then Peoria for a week or so visiting my cousin. Then to Apache Junction. We will probably stay there a month. Then to Yuma for a month and then Tucson.

We will begin making park selections about Nov 5th...

I have not wintered in AZ and am surprised to learn that air conditioners are not needed at least some of the day or night all of the time. Live and learn!

We're really looking forward to seeing as many mutants in AZ as possible, so I will post our location here and on the other site map for all to see!!

FCOC info. If you are not a member, the rally fee would be $50 extra, but to join them the sub. is only $15pa. ......

FCOCRV.org: 2016 Yuma Rally

There are two Camp Freightliner events following the rally and I have signed up for the first.

Also, we are looking at extending our stay in Yuma, preceding the rally by a month or so. We are looking possibly at the riverside park in Winterhaven. Does anyone know of this place or have any other recommendation? Google views of the rally park don't look too enticing!

We don't have any firm plans on where to go and stay during our journey to Yuma (we will be leaving early December). Casa Grande is on the list and we think a visit to Wayne must be on the cards.

Cheers for now

I don't know about Riverside park. We stayed aT RIVERVIEW PARK LAST YEAR. Very reasonable price, friendly people, not a lot of amenities, but 1/2 the price of Fortuna.
If you feel you need to be in a resort with pools, golf courses, club houses etc the Fortuna may be ok for you.
Riverview park 2300 water St. Yuma. Very near Winter Haven.

You need to run A/C early April. Avoid Phoenix, air quality, dust, etc. We get in Tucson mid October, and yes we need a/c then we bounce around and if you want to boondock, Yuma area is the best place. We try to leave the Southwest no later than April 1.

Ran the air almost daily in Payson and Camp Verde when returning in the afternoon.
The last 2 winters were unseasonably cold in December and January. Hard frost in the Valley, mid 20s in Tucson, low 30s in Yuma.
We have been leaving about middle of March to follow Spring back to the Northeast.

A no, no, no, no. We were told that they were installing the blown tire with a suitable, comparable tire to the Michelin. Dummy me did not inspect the tire (in the dark) to read its tire size. I will not take folks at their word any more. BTW, until now they could have convinced me that all is okay between a 70 and 80. No longer the case. Thanx Tim and Don again.
Holy smoly! There is a considerable difference in the sizes of those two tires. The one they sold you is 2" difference in diameter and almost 6" in circumference. Wow! What a boggle of baloney they are.

To all regarding Moonrover. He is "kicking," according to him. He feels he will be on in a couple weeks to chat with mutated friends. I'll keep you posted if when I hear from him again.

p.s., you can call him Moon, or you can call him rover, but he goes by Moonrover.

That is certainly considered a reasonable option but...just 1 tire on an axle and certainly not one that is part of a dual. If you change the tires size, you need to change all tires on the same axle.

DUMMIES! LOL

While others pondered tires today, I regened the water softener and replaced the water filters.

Don... Annie didn't need to climb into the bay to dry it out... lol.

Glad to have that out of the way...

Next up - a/c filters.

Oh the humanity.

AGREE.....I didn't realize that it was only 1 tire. I now understand. THANKS Don.

GOOD Morning all.
