X2 to you powellrv,

You are really close to really stepping in to spot number 52, and remember there is strength in numbers and the possibility of endless mutations, and many ponders of ponderings only helps on the trail of making the journey the destination. Its like when Cassidy and the Sundance Kid were getting ready to jump off the cliff, you just do it....

Cheers !!!

Well, powellrv, what is it that you do not have that you do not need?

Rope lights maybe?
Certainly not bacon!

The Rainbow awaits you.

OK, I got ya. Definitely not bacon, gotta have it. Rope lights may be at the top quadrant on the list of no have, don't want. Too much like work to put up and take down. I'm still struggling without a "clear ice" maker, hasn't made my don't need list yet, something about clear vodka over clear ice with an olive. Don't have a dish washer, my DW says I do just fine. Don't have a 2K inverter, my 800 watt charges my phone and computer just fine.

Woo Hoo the mutants are on their feet and the crowd goes wild... powellrv is officially RVM52!! Welcome to the RVMdom. If you have read up - you know about the Grande Curiosity coming April 24 - 30 2014 at Catherines Landing - just outside Hot Springs AR - a 500 mile journey from you if my MapQuest is working. Perhaps we'll see you there - or somewhere else on the rainbow. Details on the GC @ CL are a few posts above.
Welcome aboard the Rainbow!

Good Afternoon:

It seams like if we didn't have bad luck we wouldn't have any luck at all, but the good Lord is watching over us.

Back in June we lost our genny, just west of San Antonio, on the way to Los Angles. $4400.00 and two weeks later we had a "new" used genny and no money so we had a change of plans but we had a ball as the journey was our destination, we really regretted not getting to meet Okmonkey but Seattle was entirely out of the question now as funds became sevearly (sp) limited. It took us four weeks to come home, after all it was 1675 miles and we had lots to see and do. One day was really taxing as I had to drive 115 miles. Our son, who called us every night, kept telling us we were never going to get home and our answer was SO?

Aug 3, Stephanie stepped off a curb, fell, and hit her head on the sidewalk. Two brain surgeries later we were in a ICU, then long range acute care, skilled nursing facility, and we came home yesterday. The home health care people will be here tomorrow to do an evaluation as to what we can expect. We're not walking right now but we've had that problem before and overcame it.

We're already talking about our next trip - possibly Oktoberfest in Galveston on Oct 24-26. If she can get up and down the five steps to the MH I can do the rest with the wheelchair. If all goes well, we're going to go to Wurstfest in New Braunfells Tx. the first week of Nov. We haven't missed one in eleven years. We don't drink and she can't dance but we sure like the music.

Hot Springs sounds like a good idea - we're going to try and be there.

Oh my Teffy - I reached out to y'all several times by PM and feared we had lost ya. It sounds as if we nearly did and I'm glad to hear you are progressing through such a turn of bad luck.

You have been in my thoughts anyway - and now are firmly on the list of Ommm Ommm Speedy Healing Ommm list.

Thanks for the update and all good things to Stephanie.

powellrv and TEFFY should I go ahead and pencil you all in a lot space for the Grand Curiosity in Hot Springs next April? All you have to do is put down a $28 deposit to hold your space which is totally refundable up to three days before your arrival. Just let me know or send me a private message and I will tell you what lot# and what to tell them when you call to get that space. You can google Catherine's Landing Hot Springs AR to look at layout and amenities.

TEFFY, glad you are still riding the rainbow. Very best wishes to you both!
Over 100 miles in a day? Good grief, I did not know it was a race!

They rent pontoon boats - and kayaks - you can swim and fish - pool is heated or will be warm - beautiful place and we have the clubhouse and kitchen / dining area. It is a great place to mutate.

We will begin working out activities and such soon! And I think someone said said - winery visit. Make mine red please! Thanks to Tim - huntnski for some of the pics - and to HerbnBarb for keeping up with site assignments.

April just can't come fast enough!

We use to go to Florida in our car quite frequently. Back in the seventies, a gas station attendant down in Florida told me about it. You know how those "love bugs" are, very messy and sticky. I've been doing it ever since. No need to rewax immediately, just use your normal maintenance schedule. The key thing is to try and do it within a day or so after you trip so the acid from the bugs don't pit the surface.
