I guess I didn't mention that Picacho was just an example, not THE suggested place. There are other state parks that do have electric and water.

I still like the idea of a "no frills" GC. While decorations and themes are nice, I feel they place too much pressure on some folks. How about we just find a place where we can park for 5-7 days at a reasonable price and just enjoy spending time together.

I'm trying to get everything clean, packed up and head south so I don't have time to research sites now. Maybe next week.

You can make this happen...

Lost Dutchman is a State Park, they are all 25 per night no matter what. Not a good monthly prospect. But we had 3 grand days there.

For those who don't read music or didn't have music lessons, the bar is the separation between sections of notes and helps keep the proper amount of notes in a certain time frame, however, syncopation blows that out the window basically... like drunk notes... hence the connections...
Not everyone knows music....so I thought now that the fun was had by those who do, I'd explain the joke a little... I know, it ruins the joke...
It was a grand pun of sorts.

Like the movie says... if you build it they will come. It isn't specific as to who will come but some will.

I usually demand full hook ups as I can only last 4 to 5 days without serious conservation or dumping. I don't use CG showers or bathrooms because I carry them with me for a reason. We also like to keep up with our laundry. All of that said - we have signed up for the Big Mel and Kate Breakout... Retirement party for 6 nights, electric and water only. That will probably be our only stay without full hookups this winter.

As for pressure on folks at a GC, I guess some feel pressure but I don't think anyone did at Bryce and am pretty sure everyone enjoyed spending time together. We are learning how to do these things and I think we're doing a pretty good job of it. Maybe not.

I do need help understanding what a reasonable price is. I don't think $750+ for 2 weeks at Oasis is reasonable but I'm going to pay it to be near the action - my doctor - Vegas Strip - and to attend a special event and visit Toy Duck.

Throw something out there Barb and see what sticks. I personally have difficulty finding places that meet my requirements at bargain prices other than month long stays. So, I pays the piper. I always hear about the wonderful low cost parks but never seem to find them.

When I made my reservation today for Las Colinas in Eloy - I thought it was reasonable at $460 a month plus electric - but then electric was 17 cents (not the usual 13 we've been paying) and I had to send them a $200 check that they will deposit upon receipt. So now I'm paying part of my Dec / Jan park fees in October??? It just is what it is.

So our trip to Zion was scuttled for a little good eats, some art appreciation and house hunting.

We drove a short distance from St George through Santa Clara Utah (very nice town) and then on to Ivins City and then to Kayenta Art Village including the Gallery 873 at 873 Coyote Gulch. The adobe houses at Kayenta are as lovely as the art work. We especially liked the house that comes with a rabbit in the yard. Can you spot the furry face?

Yep. You did to me. I was the one that said it. Pigotcha. Or whatever.

I agree with Barb on no theme. Just sitting and talking sounds good. I like hookups too but we can go a few days. But much more comfortable with.

I Am looking forward to travel dialog from Barb again.

Next week for me before i have time to research. I just think Dave oughta know a place.

I could make this happen but remember, The Discovery is afflicted with the big C, yep, Camping World! I may not even want a jeep by the time I get it back

Steve I'm sorry but I fear the elaborate costume I wore at Bryce may be part of the problem. You remember the leather belt and gun hoisters I wore, the ones made out of paper plates and painted brown. Or it could have been the flashy rodeo buckle I was sporting, also made from a paper plate. Being flashy is just a curse I'm afflicted with!

What - no theme... how can you have a theme party without a theme...???

Dave and I were just talking about Alice in Wonderland, Wizard of Oz and and on and on. Are you sure you were a school teacher. Storybook Day... only the best day ever!

If I was coming I would be pushing for back to the future!

If I recall not all were dressed according to theme at Bryce yet none were shunned away!

But alast we won't be there so I'm just babbling away for no reason. There was campfires every night at Bryce, many with no themes.

Tim - if we could bottle your stress shedding abilities we'd be rich. Rich I tell ya.

And I do remember it well. I may have a picture somewhere. The holsters were awesome. I had no idea until I looked closely and you told me... lol.
