That worked, but when i stepped forward again my size 12 shoe caught that extra step and I stumbled forward, like about 6 big giant steps trying to stay upright. Not to happen. Fell face first, in the grass thank you Lord, with the receiver between me and the ground. The roundness part cushioned the fall but the nose had a little residue of grass on it. The worse thing was the muscle I pulled on the back of the leg. it was worse than a charlie horse.

I wonder what next year will bring.

Oh my... We are both graceful...... How ya feeling? Better i hope....
Only good thing about my hand splint rather than a cast, is i can remove it to wash dishes.........

Man I hate chevy trucks. I rented one to drive to Tucson to get parts figured I'd leave early and sleep in the truck. Now my back and neck are killing me. Wish they had a ford.

That thought entered my mind but then I wondered what it was as it was gone so fast.....actually about 3 years ago we came through the very top part of Idaho on I-90 but we didn't stop.

A wise little lady at our Senior Center told me to put "Vapo Rub" on my broken toe & it stopped the hurting...

Maybe you should try that...

Feel well soon..

Hey Sue.
Did I see on that other forum that you may journey south as early as December? Are you going south to Waynes World for the winter? Is AZ in the cards? Wondering about your plans!! Would sure love to see you two!

Zion NP

Mel and Kate - - Zion is worth a look see. You see some gorgeous sights just driving through the park. In regards to the requirement to ride the shuttle bus through the main canyon along the river, Mary Ann, Nola, and I hopped on the bus, enjoyed the ride and scenery, and never stepped off the bus.

We lost our athletic abilities a "couple" of years ago and when we approached a shuttle stop, the driver would announce the hiking distances at each stop. We opted not to walk 1/4, 1 and 1/2, or 3 miles at the various stops to see MORE OF THE SAME BEAUTY. I'm sure that you two youngsters can manage the "short" hikes.

Zion and Bryce are easy day trips from each other. Camp near one and can see both easily without changing campgrounds. If you are a bird, Arches is only 2 hours from Bryce but if you want to take your vehicle with you, it's about 4 - 5 hours up and around the mountain range between the two. So you'll have to move your headquarters to see the northeastern and northcentral parks and Moab. I love Utah except for the exceptional altitude in some popular venues.

All of this may be old news to you. We will see if we can meet you in northern Arizona in April. That plan is pretty iffy right now.

^^^ Steve -
Neither of us mentioned Cedar Breaks as a day trip. We went from St George to CB National Monument and I thought you drove it from Bryce. I thought it had merit. Not as many miles of views, Vistas and such but beautiful.

And good morning all yee who mutate! We have a big 3 hour journey today to Pahrump. Not looking forward to the Vegas traffic but it doesn't take long to get past the congestion... but the pace has some zippy drivers who seem to be in Ina hurry to get to work taking your hard earned dollars at one casino or another.

Looking forward to seeing something geographically differnet. I suspect Death Valley and possibly Mojave will be vastly different from Utah and Colorado - yep different.

Annie has the house ready to roll so I better get a move on. She might leave without me. Need a bit more cuppa first.

Take care mutants. Hope to see you soon!

Di, you are too young to be falling and cracking hands and thangs. I know that hurts. Ohhhhhmmmmms for fast healing. Hope you're taking pain meds .... and drinking prune juice.

I'm taking notes on all the Utah-talk. Thanks, guys.
