Two questions:
1) Di, why are you taking off your splint to do dishes?
2) Larry, why aren't you doing the dishes?

I'm learning some of the great benefits of essential oils. Peppermint, wintergreen and lavender oils, in particular. Been using them daily for a week or so and can already tell a difference in pain level! Using pain medication much less frequently now.

Glad you're doing ok. Had a wrist fracture once, so know some of what you're going through.

And even though Larry may not do dishes for you, I know he does a hundred-and-one other things for you! Hope he's doing well, too.

I was wondering about Escalante, Marty. We may try to work it in. Thanks for the suggestion!

When my older son graduated high school, I took him on a "senior trip" since his class didn't do one. He wanted to see 3 places: Rocky Mountain Nat'l Park, Dinosaur Nat'l Monument and Mesa Verde Nat'l Park. We made it to all three on that trip. Dinosaur was just amazing. Hard to wrap your mind around it all.

Our launch plans for our winter travels is moving along on time. Last minute meetings with friends and family and most packing complete.

Had another Mini-C breakfast with Sue and Martin at our favorite Original Pancake House but forgot the videographer. LOL Sandee is at the laundromat with the "big stuff" and I have her bicycle carrier set up to bring her bike along with us too.

Tonight we take Zeus to the trainer to see if he can pass his Good Canine Citizen test. I'm not super confident because he pulls too much and I can't seem to find a way to control the inner sled dog in him. LOL But...he is a lovable guy so we will keep him if he doesn't pass this round. There is always next year.

Tomorrow I take my former secretary out to lunch and show some of my co-w**kers what retirement can look like. That evening we have dinner with her family and share bunches of hugs and well wishes. That is probably the hardest part of jumping back onto the rainbow.

Thursday morning forecast is clear to partly cloudy, lower 40s and breezy winds out of the west at 18-20 MPH. Launch time is about 9 am for the longest leg of our south bound trip to Lakeland, FL at 330 miles.

Time to get really excited.

Don & Sandee, I got goose bumps reading your post! It doesn't get much more exciting than this! So happy for you. Looking forward to reading about all your wonderful adventures on the outer Rainbow.

Looks great! WWWT! (Wish we were there!) Re: Pahrump -- DS had an assignment helping with an installation at the casino there and he indicated it was pretty small and unremarkable. Have you been, and what's your take on it? Sufficient or a dump? The park looks fine, though. Are there many of them nearby?

It looks & feels like really truly fall here today: cold misty rainy windy. Finding mouse nest material and a dead mouse in my boot this morning -- ummm -- not helpful to my mood, shall we say?

Breakfast with mutant friends helps, though, of course. 😋🍳🍽☕️ Sad to see Don & Sandee leave, but so happy it's the rainbow they're on. Good times ahead!

Cheers!

I'm sure each of us have things they've tried with little success, I know I have many, but this past weekend I accomplished something that I have attempted on several occasions.

This past weekend I picked up a Rubics cube and completed it for the first time!

Not a major event but I feel good about it!
