Problem disappeared after it got into the bay. $172 to find nothing to fix.

On the road a couple hours already.

Okay, you can stop discussing me with Earlene.

Oh, and she calls me a lot of things but none of them are printable here.

This has to be one of the slowest days in mutant posting in a long time. We had a nice leisurely day today. Annie baked pork chops for lunch with greens and her trademark fired potato chips. A little TV, nap time and now sitting in the gazebo watching the clouds roll by. Nice way to spend a day!

There are some dark clouds behind the mountain. Looks like they will stay out of the valley.

So what are you STMs up to? No Mutant Scouting Reports? No bacon or other mutantlicous things on your table?

Are there no murkers with something to say.. no lurkers wishing to become the next RVM... next up will be RVM128... tell us what your RV doesn't have that you don't miss - Declare the Journey is the Destination and you too can join this group of mutating rainbow riding STMs....

I guess so...for now.

Our best guess is that the right side, right height valve didn't like the cold and decided to not play nice in the sandbox. Fortunately with the engine running I could keep my tank pressure up to normal but as soon as I turned the engine off it would bleed out. You could hear it hiss and feel the air over the top of the front, right tire. Of course, it did it consistently until I pulled it into the service bay.

So...we made it to Clarksville, TN just after it got dark but it is all good. Tomorrow we go to Adairsville, GA.

Well let's hope that is the last of that! Journey safely!

Don I recently had The Discovery towed to Freightliner cause the front air bags wouldn't air up. I could hear hissing and after ruling out that it wasn't Mary determined a professional look was called for!

Turned out in my case that the automatic leveling valve was shot. It had acted up periodically before finally going out. On my chassis the valve was behind the driver side front tire. Had a truck shop look at it when it wasn't acting up and they said possibly trash was the problem and the drained my tanks of moisture, didn't charge me anything and said come back when it's acting up again!

To help me find where the hissing was coming from when it occurred I tied a ribbon on the end of a broom handle and passed it up and down along the air lines. When I ran across the hissing air it was evident by the flying ribbon.

That's a great idea for checking for leaks. I file that in the old memory bank and hope I never have to use it. With a15 yr old coach I'm always waiting for the other shoe to drop!

Beats my way of checking for propane leaks with a match, I suppose.

My buddy does that too! What a coincidence. In fact, he found one once and it lit up like a pilot light! Thought my house was going to explode!!!

Have a friend that checked for a leak in a hydraulic hose on a backhoe using his fingers. Cut the end off of one finger completely!
