Whew! I confess, I gave up on trying to read 50+ pages to catch up. But, I skipped around and read 8 or 10 pages and in doing so learned about Don and Sandee's loss.

Don, Sandee, there probably really aren't words that can soothe your hearts, but maybe it does help knowing there are so many who care.

Like Barb, I don't believe for a second that Scott was a "bad" person, maybe just "broken," through no fault of his or yours. I believe he is healed now and surrounded by and immersed in Love and Light. Ommmmmms for your hearts now and for the coming weeks, months and years.

Happy belated birthdays to Ted (my twin!) and Les! Hope you were properly spoiled and given the royal treatment on your days.

And, happy birthday to Colleen! You're still a young thing, girl. I hope you got double the birthday gifts from the two men in your life. (You know ... the live one and the other one.)

My beautiful niece passed away (drug overdose) 16 years ago today.
Still miss her very much and cannot fathom what lead her down that road.
She new her mom and dad brother and all her relatives loved her immensely.
She broke our hears and we all feel somehow we failed her.

Update: Still in physical therapy. Progressing, but very slowly. That set back with the reaction to the blood thinner is the culprit. However, I am forced to return to work due to an expiration of FMLA days. Don't feel ready or up to it really, but will make the best of it. My coworker is lining up a bunch of stuff that I can help her with and do from home on the phone and computer. God bless her!

I am sooooo disappointed that we can't come to the big shindig in Tucson. But we will be there in spirit. And if all goes as planned, will see some of you in early April.

Not much to report on. My world is basically the living room. Kate's doing fine. She is on call this week (until tomorrow at 8:00 am) and has had some very busy nights. She's exhausted. Even when she has to drive 100 miles in the middle of the night to attend a death or two, and is out from midnight until 4:30 or 5:00 am, she still has to start her regular work day at 8:30 am. All I can do is remind her that she doesn't have to do this very much longer.

Ok, I'm off to play catch up on the forum.

Well we have all been wondering what was what.... We appreciate the updates..

So, anyhow, a Mini-C is a happening in Texas City and Galveston. Di and Larry, Jeannie and Dave, Me and Earlene, and my Son Mike and DIL Gemma had a sit down get fat meal. As you can see those are some pretty thick steaks, along with salted potatoes (don't know what they are but they were good, some special butter for the potatoes with all the fixings of sour cream, cheese, green onions, bacon bits (real bacon cut in bits), and asparagus and cherry tomatoes baked in the oven, and good bread rolls. I'm sure I left something out.

And for desert, peanut butter pie. Just for Dave and Apple Dump Cake.

Proof's in the pictures.

What does Di know that the rest of you do not?

Really great to see that Jne and Dave are still speaking to the rest of us. Well, some of us, at least!

Cheers!

And the recipe is where?
Will there be some made available in February?
You know for your favorite next door neighbour?

Hmmmmmm?

BTW I see the son replicates the father when it comes to good looking women.
