A very Happy Thanksgiving to all.

I get to have two Thanksgiving dinners. One tomorrow with family, and the another on Sunday with my son and DIL because he has to work tomorrow.

Steve, the oyster dressing will be Sunday. I'll be sure to have a bite in your name.

Sorry, not sharing more than one bite with anyone. I have to wait a year for oyster dressing - I'm going to guard it and not let anyone else have any! (Yeah! Right! I think I'd be beat up!)

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you USA'rs. Belated Happy Remembrance Day to those up North! We are changing it up a little this year by adding some moose steaks with the turkey.

Today and everyday I give thanks for my family, my friends, my health, my freedom and all you STMs who make my Rainbow journey so much fun.

So here's the story..
Made our reservations for a 50 amp site at the park our friends Bob and Fran have their park model on 10/21/15. Paid a $36 deposit at the time for a 1 week stay.

We were 19 miles away when the office called to make sure we were coming. It was 4 pm. She said, we have your place, come on. We are open until 7.

So we get there. Annie goes in to pay and since the sites are all back ins, I unhooked the car. Car unhooked - Annie comes out and says someone is coming to guide us in. A minute later the lady comes out and says - Oh BTW we only have a 30 amp site.

What? I need 50 amp, which I reserved over a month ago. She says well you don't have to stay and we can refund your money. Huh. Where are going to go? Then the guy who was going to guide us in shows up and starts telling me - you don't need 50 amp. You going to be running both a/cs? It's not hot. You don't need it.

At this point I'm getting hot under the collar with his attitude and our friends drive into the park and stop. Annie I walk over to talk to them and while we're saying hello and letting them know what was going on the guy comes over and starts in again. I turned to him and said - step back - as he was way into my personal space going on and on and on. Now he's really going at it.

And, it got worse from there. Needless to say - it ended with us leaving, finding another place and moving 30 miles down the road to Surprise.

So - here's the thing. I know that I can run on 30 amps if necessary - but in a year on the road and the 2 years prior, I have never put Bonita on 30 amps. I actually have 2 dog bones and even a 30 amp to 120 adapter. But - I don't like the extra connections and especially not for a week long stay. And - the truth is - I do run both air conditioners - on heat pumps at night on 70 and they do a great job at keeping our house comfortable.

On about the third or fourth time the guy told me I didn't need both, I said - please stop telling me how to live in my coach. You gave our site away. And he just wouldn't shut up. We got here and Annie says - ya know - I think that guy was "half in the bag". Geesh.

As it was - with the nonsense leading up to the decision to leave - I couldn't see spending a week in the same park as that meat head. He was completely unapologetic - and pushy. And for some reason, this mutant has come to a place on the journey that pushy just doesn't cut it anymore.

I guess I've become a true full timer. Our house - our way. I would have preferred a parking lot over letting the place, and that guy ell me how it's going to be. I would have taken a parking lot over that - but found a place and am glad I did.

So here we are. Thanksgiving day and we won't be having a dinner at the park with our friends. Annie is making stuffing and Minnesota wild rice - we have a Cornish hen defrosted and we're going to have a nice quiet day together. Really just fine with us but a little dissapointed we won't be with Fran, Bob and the two girls ( Dachshunds ).... lol.

So Happy Thanksgiving again Mutant family!!
