Well, Bess is an ordinary Farm border Collie, and looks just like one...LOL!

We also have a grey Tabby and a Tortishell Cat that mostly live outside except when it's cold/wet/snowy... then they want in.

Bess is a great looking pal.

Our old Shep hated being brushed and would bolt to the back yard and roll in the poof dirt after coming home from the groomer. He was awesome with the Grandkids.

You've all seen my most recent furface doing what she does best:

Resting up.

If I'm still up around 11:30, I can go on mouse-watch with her and sometimes help out. Being declawed (long before my time!) doesn't stop her hunting and catching the little critters.

At my age, there's a rather long list of fuzzy or feathery friends who all await me at the rainbow bridge. All of their memories bring smiles, and some bring tears as well.

Loving the pics. All characters, every one, eh?

Thanks Martha, I w**k about 2 miles from a kill shelter. I usually eat lunch at my desk and can come and go as I please.

No matches in my Zip

Tell Bess we have a place for her in the desert if she wants to get out of the cold.

I'll pop in a couple of times a week to check out the pooches at the shelter.

And here is our barker, Lily, on the bow of the kayak. She loves to sit up there while I paddle. Click image for larger version
