We can take Jeff there. Tell him we are going to the bait shop. And man-shame him into finally realizing that real men may not eat quiche, but they adore good sashimi.

Have too. Many times. Lived about 3 miles from 2 of them.

I don't order the fish at a steakhouse. Don't order the steak at seafood restaurant.

Only time we get sushi from a market of any kind is when a sushi bar isn't available, or if there is a Asian seafood market that specializes in raw - sashimi grade fish. There was one in Garland - about 20 minutes down the freeway from where we lived. My friend Richard is a sushi chef and turned me on to the place he bought fresh fish.

The City Market in Montrose was pretty good but mostly rolls. And some of the Hi Vee markets we have visited are OK too. Again mostly rolls and little variety of fish. I may have a salmon skin handroll or an occasional special roll, but prefer nigiri and sashimi, and sunomono salads with mixed seafood. Oyster shooters with a quail egg on top - yum. For my money, the rolls in stores are almost as expensive as the sushi bar and not as good. The other thing is - variety. I had not had amberjack in ages, or blue fin tuna, fatty tuna, or yellowtail belly in a while. Got em all at the sushi bar in Peoria. Still searching for my all time favorite... Aoyagi.

One thing Dallas does have is excellent sushi and variety.

Also not a fan of buffet of any kind. Too many people coming too close to my food. Yuk.

I highly doubt that there are too many bait shops in Casa Grande, it takes too long to drive to the surf for casting and the bait would spoil long before you got there.

Deep Sigh....having trouble getting into decorating mode. So far, have opened tubs, set up crèche, and the led light changing angel. Actually, I don't do a whole lot, but have a few certain things which to me say Christmas season is coming. I even pulled out the old Reader's Digest recordings from Christmas Through the Years, and even Bing Crosby isn't clicking on the umph....pretty sad situation...LOL. (Sad that is all I have to complain about...) . Part of it could be we are still cleaning up fall leaves...and the temps are almost shirtsleeve weather today.
