During the organizational phase of the First Ever South West Mutant Gathering I was diligent in explaining the "weird workings" of the RV Park at Pima County Fairgrounds. Everyone, including me, have never experienced a "first come - first served" entry system into a 260 site campground. They have their reasons, I'm sure, but the system doesn't work for someone driving from Florida or Connecticut to show up and find out they don't have a site. Our guarantee for 15 reserved sites was the result of a special meeting of the park board to see if it was going to happen. For that I am thankful.

Mutants who were not in the first 15 to fully commit will have to show up and find out if they have a site somewhere in the park. Not good but we had no hope of gathering anywhere else in the state of AZ where the population of the state swells by 30+ percent each winter.
Hey there, hi there, hoe there, I'll take any spot they can find

Cheers!!!!

I may take it in but I already know of a similar but better group.
Although you may feel I'm prejudiced at tad.

When I see you I'll give you a great recipe for breakfast sausage. Easy to do.

That would get you close, but then you have to climb a mountain to get to their place. It's a beautiful spot, but not easy to find. Hi Deb!

HI HO... if off to wor... whoops, well, only 2 more trips and done for the day... Dallas the Palomino has been rolling in the mud a lot, but it's too cold to give him a bath, so I might try to harness him and give him a good brushing before his mama gets home from her trip tonight. He's a little skittish, so I'll see if I can convince him with treats to stand still long enough to get the mud out and make him a pretty boy again .

Sounds like a lot of harder work than normal....I can't imagine trying to do everything like that with the other non dominate hand.

I've been trying my hand at making Bison and Chicken stock myself... it's not hard, the stove or oven does most of the work...LOL, my part is adding water, bay leaves, a few veggies and spice and then canning it when it's done. Bison bones take forever to break down, I can forsee using some of these a long time before I need to buy new ones from George my cousin's hubby. ( got these last year and they sat in the freezer, used half of them then, the other half now, but they are pretty big and take a large stock pot.) More yum for me!
Trying to use up the stuff in my freezer so I can defrost it when the weather outside is frightful and stays freezing all day so I can just put things in tubs out on the deck instead of getting dry ice and using all my ice chests...did it that way last year and it worked out spiffy! now if the weather would cooperate... my freezer is too full of ice to get some things out!
