We were glad to see Shara moving around, slowly but definitely alive and kicking!

And good to see you too Dwayne. The jeep is looking better all the time. We still have a couple weeks here so maybe we can make another Mini C... definite in Tucson!! Really looking forward to that!

On Friday we went off-road near Castle Dome in the Kofa NWR. Our goal was the Big Eye Mine but we saw many mines on the way and some miners graves.
Gorgeous day, low wind, clear views, and a grand trail.

Around 100,000 Canada geese are wintering in and around Lubbock this year. They fill up the hundreds of playa lakes on the Panhandle South Plains. I drove past a couple of the playas on the way to the post office yesterday. Paused to enjoy a little bit of nature in the city ....

Thought of all you bird hunters.

oops. Thought the first effort at uploading the video didn't work. I got a notification that said the file was too large! So, I tried again. Well, the first video obviously uploaded. I tried to remove one, but can't figure out how.

More geese ....

Must be fun to walk around there!

Couple decades ago I worked got paid in an area where there were just tobacco farms and some high tech buildings where they put us IT types. It was a pleasant area as you could take nature walks around ponds and through woods and such. But man, when those geese were around, they'd come after you, it was a constant dodge that marking there kind of thing as well due to the numbers. Needless to say, we tended to stay towards the non-water areas more than the ponds themselves.

People here have a real love-hate relationship with the geese. They are meaner than the dickens. But, I love to watch them from a safe place ... like my car.

I don't think the video is working.

Wayne, maybe you could upload the video I sent to you. ???
