If you just want to see Joshua trees up close there is a Joshua tree forest in Arizona on the road between Las Vegas and Phoenix west of Wickenburg.

Hey Di, when I'm looking for things to do in an area I go to trip advisor and check out the "Things to Do". Here's what they have for Tucson--

The Top 10 Things to Do in Tucson - TripAdvisor - Tucson, AZ Attractions - Find What to Do Today, This Weekend, or in February

I like the reviews written by people who have actually been there.

Larry uses that a lot....

We are parked in Quartzite... Full tank of diesel and propane.... Still a lot to do, vendors, even though the big rv thingy closed out yesterday......

Love this so far....

We are staying at Desert Hot Springs. Close to Joshua Tree, $22.50 per day passport America. Also try Salton Sea State Park.

Yep. Got a friend on. She owns the local art store.

Tomorrow we find out if the Jeep fix actually fixed the Jeep or not. Then we think about having the towing brake system changed out and find out whether there is time. Martin will be much less depressed when he gets his car back. I'll be less depressed when I know we can get to Tucson on time!

We're safe (Achhoooo! Just kidding.) Heard the good news about the jeep and brake system. Yippeeee!

Tonight we are in Fort Stockton at Hilltop RV Park. Nice park to stop in and only $30 a night or $27 cash. Tomorrow Las Cruces, NM, Hacienda RV Resort close to Missilla (sp) old Billy The Kid hideout. May extend a night if you are stopping by.

Dennis, don't fret. We can sit side-by-side and go as twins.

Any Mutant suggestions on where we could spend those 9 or 10 days, are most welcomed.

All of the Left Coast is comfortable in April. A little chilly going further North but San Diego is nice. However, consider most of the RV Parks in the Pacific Coast are $40 a night or higher. The Excapee's park, Jojoba Hills, near Temecula would be very nice in April/May and if you stick around for June you could meet up with us. Going to the Left Coast around that time for my son's retirement ceremony.

On our trip today, 2 miles from our exit a tractor-trailer passed through up a rock. Hit the windshield about 6 inches from looking out at eye level at the driving route. Sucks big time. Happy if that is the only incident on this trip - not talking about jacks.

Wow, that does suck. You didn't say but it put a crack/chip in it?

Sure hope I don't run into that starting in two days...
