Cruise ships are food for jokes on late night talk shows.

Sue, you will love the cruise. DW and I took a 14 day cruise from LA thru Canal to San Juan years ago. It was fantastic. Really a guys cruise in the Canal. The engineering that went into it is incredible. Good time of the year too. If you can he sure and do the Rainforest tour in Costa Rica. Really cool.

When we were posting about "good Night John Boy", remember Laugh In did the same thing with "good night Dick" after it was published that Richard Nixon watched the show. Everyone had to tell him Good Night.

We take a cruise every year with relatives that are all older, want say how old cause some on this thread may be their age, but in their minds they are too old to travel in a RV. Some wear themselves out walking the length of thr buffet!

We always have fun, althought on really long trips I tend to long for my homeland.

Jeff:

Our heart goes out to you. Words can't express the sorrow that you go through. When my father, AKA my best friend, died I felt like part of me died too. I'm so sorry for you and your family.

So sad to here this news Jeff. There is never a good day, right time or easy way to loose a parent. With my dads passing i realized more and more how he truly lives on, that being in the manor I talk, the way that I walk and in general how I interact with others. I always take it as a high compliment when someone says you remind me so much of your dad.

Alas my friend, it's a sad day but the sun/son still shines.

Thank you for your condolences, my Dad taught me a lot, and hopefully, those that knew him will remember him fondly.

I'll let you know what our experience is, so you can add that to your database.

I am so happy I went and DW and I had a blast. The food is beyond expectations (escargot every evening meal, steak exactly as you ordered and great wines)

Mutate away dear lady as you will never regret the experience. The cruise industry has come a long way since the old Love Boat.
The food is what worries me!!! Too much, too god, too tempting. Escargot, you say? Now I *am* in trouble!

Pics as I can get them. And send them. Dunno yet what those facilities will be.

Thanks...I will definitely be wary of the fish. Steam tables can be tricky.

Oh, Jeff, I'm so sorry to hear that! I know how difficult it is to watch a loved one suffer and lose ground. You feel so helpless. I wish you strength and healing

Jeff their is not much more to be said that hasn't already expressed our sorrow and condolences to you and your family over the loss of your dad. Just know that we all carry you all in our hearts as you deal with this tragedy. Sometimes just knowing that there are a growing number of mutants that have a kinship to you and who reach out with sincerity and great love and friendship to you perhaps will try to sustain you in our limited ability until the emptiness in your heart can begin to heal. Prayers and much love to you my friend from Barb and I as well.
