Last night's sunset, can you see the sliver of moon ? About 10 minutes later you could also see a ghostly shadow of the rest of it, but it was never fully illuminated.

Where are you at? I'm assuming ID but let me know if you are somewhere else.

This is a map of the second half of our Lewis & Clark Caravan.

We kind of zoom through ID with 2 nights in Missoula, MT Aug 18 & 19 then 3 nights in Clarkston, WA the 20th through 22nd.

We live in Orofino which is about 40 miles east of where you will stay in Clarkston WA. Are you taking a jet boat ride up the Snake River into Hell's Canyon while there?

Nice one, Jeff. I missed it. Dang! Had a mountain in the way, I think.

Heard you, Di, just didn't know what you meant.

YEP! Our route puts us on US-12 right through Orofino on AUG 20th. As we get much closer perhaps we can make some plans for a lunch as we pass through or dinner somewhere between.

We may do SoCal next December/ January. Change of wallpaper and sights.
We follow the weather by rolling dice on the 15-day forecasts. We have had great weather in Sierra Vista, Benson, Casa Grand, and others in those months. A crap shoot!
Sounds like a fine journey coming up for you two!
Sounds great! We just signed up for another Caravan after the Newmar rally in Pueblo. The caravan starts Oct 1st leaving Pueblo, heads west and hooks around to Arches NP Oct 19th. SEE MAP

We figured we would try to spend a week or so in the Sedona area then by the first of November in some place like Casa Grande for the month and decide what is next from there. We would definitely look to get to Tucson for a week or two and visit the bone yard. I guess from there we would look westward and Yuma might be a good target for January. AHHHH...I love to dream and plan.

The sign way over on the left, with the saluting camo-dressed character, reads: Protect our Gourders.

There must be mutant material in this bunch. 😎
