I second the recommendation for Riverfront. Close to Mexico exit. A nice park with trees, and very inexpensive.

Steve, if we were back at home I could have pressed that sleeve off and manufactured a new one on my lathe. Sounds like a parts re-placer and not a true repairman.

It's probably possible to get the thing off the axel and another on and in the right place - but you were there... a ton of mutant men could barely move it without heating it up. There may be shoulder on the wheel side of the sleeve to overcome. I think it's just a bad design overall so they don't make the part available. And like small Laserjet printers - you throw them away cause the cartridge is 75% of the price. I might send you the transaxle and see if you can do it. Depends on shipping since we can't separate the axel from the motor without risk of messing it up as I recall.

Its a lost leader as it is so maybe before we head back I can nab it from you to see what I can do with it at home. Denise and I can be persuaded to attend the first ever Pacific Northwet Grand Curiosity and make the reverse exchange then.

Marty! You didn't tell me you had a thriving business here in Yuma. From the look of the acres and acres of veggies in the fields, you must be having a really good crop this Click image for larger version

Ugh, please don't send me back so quickly!!! It's going to be very cold there...

No, we're all settled back in Florida today after dealing with a warranty claim for a busted motor on the front door awning this morning. I stayed overnight at a rest area as it was on the way back and another 90 miles to get to our resting place. I was supposed to have it fixed prior to the Tucson trip but they wound up getting the wrong part shipped to them and thus had to wait it out.

The grand total for my trip was 4,300 miles at a cost of just 23 cents per mile!!! I think that wasn't too bad

And two pics - one showing why it takes so long to go from point A to B out west and the second is one of my favorites with the Cactus plants behind the bike

Hi Barry and Pat,

I just returned from Mexico. I went to the Purple Pharmacy to pick up a few things. The dramatic savings is jaw dropping! Sena's insulin which can be as much as $439/vial for the brand name in the US ($24.88 for the generic at Walmart) is $11.99/vial! Also, many items that require a prescription in the US, don't need one in Mexico. I understand liquor is also cheap.

Los Algodones specializes in Dental, Optical and Pharmacy. I had all my teeth crowned in May 2014 for about 15% of what my HMO was going to charge.

As for where to stay -- I can't help you as I'm boondocking.
