Finally got that darned tooth pulled yesterday. And also got an digital xray which revealed my impacted sinus cavity. ENT appointment next Friday at 2 pm. Dentist gave me an antibiotic so I asked if if it would work on the sinuses. He said... oh no. You need to see an ENT. He said with this tooth out and and that cleared up you'll be able to smoke meat 3 days in a row to feed a hundred mutants and have energy left over to grill Di some hotdogs. Smart man.

BTW fuel up just before you cross the border and take the truck route into Mexico. Watch what you have in your refrigerator as you are not allowed to bring meat or fresh vegetable, dairy and fruit. Replacing it down here is very inexpensive.
Make the instructions reversed; 15 turns a sharp left and at that point the road to Bahia de Kino is the sharp right.

Dwayne or someone else knowledgeble,

The Ground fault Interrupt Plug in the toilet vanity is hooped and will not allow the 110 volt to operate on the drivers side of the motorhome. Can I just haul it out of there and rep[lace with a standard plug until I get to a place that sells GFIs?

Dennis
By "hooped" do you mean it can't be reset? Be careful, there may in fact be a ground fault in that circuit.

I had my GFIC trip once and I reset the one by the vanity and in the fuse box, but what took me another 30 minutes to track down was the exterior plug. All GFICs in this coach are on 1 circuit.

BTW, you'd feel right at home here Dennis. Everyone I've met here has a Canuckistany accent and I can hear a train in the distance about every 10 minutes. No whistles, eh, but the clickety clack of the wheels, don't ya know.

Yes you can but there is a reason it tripped. One the gfi is just bad. Two a short. Now if you put a regular plug. In it you will need to watch it close for hours. For shorts

As Barb alluded to, check all other plugs in the coach to see if something plunged into them is causing this. I would unplug everything and then plug things back in one at a time. My basement outlets are connected to my bathroom GFI so don't forget to check those out. HOWEVER, just for reference, you might have more than 1 GFI. I have one in the kitchen and one in the bathroom. Still, you happen to know that it is the bathroom GFI that is popping.

Yes, it is possible that the GFI is bad and needs replacement. I recently had to replace one.

As Dwayne said, it ain't a good idea to put a non-GFI in its place.

Arrived Hilltop RV, Fort Stockton, TX. Low temp tonight will be 43˚ at 1 a.m.

Now we are waiting for Barry an Pat to pop in like they did yesterday - well I know they have reservations at Hacienda 'till Sunday.

I would have expected a statement like that from Martin, but not a Canuckistan.

Could be faulty, could be something tripped it. Get another GFI and replace it. Watch the polarity (hot/common). If hooked up wrong it will continuously trip. They are marked quite conspicuously as to which wire goes where. Black is hot, white is common in AC circuits but you probably already know that.

Beautiful evening in Yuma, after a really nice day.

I guess sinus / ENT is a common aliment around here. ENT of Yuma set my appointment for next Friday. Good thing my head wasn't falling off. Lol. In the meantime the antibiotics are helping but it's going to be a fun week. This sinus thing has been an ongoing issue for some time now. Been chalking it up to allergies but it could explain a few things. They do allergy tests there and Barb had suggested seeing an allergist. I've heard some require office visits for shots, and that's not gonna happen. gotta roll. Can't sit around a year getting shots. Lol.
