Looking for something special? You might see if there is a farmer's market... they usually have stuff that is a little out of the ordinary...

The best quality and price for produce that we have found in our last 3 seasons in Yuma is on highway 95.
Take I-8 East to exit 12, go South to the light on highway 95, go left to the first stand. They are open Thursday thru Sunday. Also, they are close to the BEST date shakes ever at Martha's Date Garden.
"We've been every where, Man, we've been every where"...(in Yuma).
Don't forget La Fonda for great Mex.
And the Arizona Marketplace on 32nd Street.
Ice cream? The Peanut Patch.

You and me both! I'm really disappointed in the quality, selection and price of the 3 that I've stopped at on US 95. I guess Yuma sends the best outta town.

I'll agree with you on the date shakes at Martha's gardens been yummy-licious, Dave, but there was no gardens that I could see -- only a Medjool date plantation and no produce for sale, just dates.

Steve, where all have you found produce? Sorry Dave, but no keepers on Highway 95 this year. Unless you count the folks running the fruit stands. All were really nice.

Oh, but there is a terrific off leash dog park.

Walked the AZ Indoor Marketplace next to Walmart on Pacific today LoL.

La Fonda was recommended by one of the guards at the park gate.

I like it here, but sure wouldn't want to be here in July or August... no thank you.

The big tent on 32nd and Ave 4E is the PLACE! Arizona Marketplace!
The stand I noted was mostly fruit and local grown fare.
I won't be in Yuma after January. Following the weather. Soon too hot in Yuma. On to Mesa and Cottonwood!

That's just it Barb. I haven't found any that looked inviting. In the RGV the produce guy came to the park with great produce and prices. I see things growing but nobody selling. Have seen some selling from their yard. There was more produce for sale in Provo, Utah lol.

They are not there to look inviting. It's a different style there. Go to the one I posted. The people are friendly, charming, and gracious in a mom n pop shop. Low overhead, good stuff!
Double dog dare.

Sure do miss y'all. Hurry up at Red Bay and come on back to our neck of the woods. I'll buy the first cup of coffee. Kurig - my house.
