Another grand day in Yuma! May start on our taxes today. Oh my.

So glad to hear you're on the rainbow road to feeling mutant again! Get those taxes all done, please, so you can play when we get there. Oh, and of course, those other mutant folk ahead of us. Save some fun for us!

Mutant Up: still near Maricopa, AZ at the Wild West Resort, listening to the wind in the willow.
Here's this morning's project, before:
And after:
It's Queso Fundido with Bacon and chilies, before dividing to share with the neighbors. My turn! Will Martin even get a look-in? You snooze, you lose! 😈

It may be repeatable. Just find me a proper Poblano. I had to sub <gasp!> canned chilis.

The smoked green chiles I made at FESWGC were Hatch Brand in the can... they are great when fresh or frozen aren't available. Always a can or two on hand!

R U an RV Mutant too?
Justins Diamond J, Tucson.
Just up from my nap. Off on an adventure: get my 2 cooking propanes filled (about 6 bucks about every 6 months) and get to Cold Stone as an accomplishment reward.
Keep that recovery rolling, Steve and Richard!

we just arrived at Hidden Lake RV Park is Ardmore, Oklahoma. Had rain in Texas
yesterday with thunder and lightning. Great that it waited till after church.
Temperature around 70 and sunny here.
But no lights in the sky so far.

We are back in Phoenix until time to head to Dead Horse Ranch State Park for Mel and Kate's outer rainbow celebration.
My Mom passed away this morning at age 89. She lived a long life and her passing was expected. We were not close -- she divorced and left us with Dad when I was 6. That taught me the fierce sense of independence that has allowed me the courage travel the country with Sena and Lily for close to 5 years.

The breeze along 8 between Casa grande and Yuma was a real sphincter tightener I'll tell you. Just about Gila River a transport driver and I came within about 3 millimeters (that reads way too close) of each other when a gust sent me over toward him. I pulled hard right on the steering wheel and he went quickly left. We got so close the wind buffeting loosened the drivers side mirror and I will have to see if I can get it tight again. It's either that or another purchase from the Gambler in Quartzsite.
We are now safe and sound in Yuma at the same site and location as we were the last time through. OK who wants to play??
