Sorry Barb. My critter care client, whose cat I had to get put down last week, Mother also passed yesterday. It was her cat,(Client's mom's cat she couldn't have at the rehab/nursing center) the timing was most curious....

On another note... Still at the S&B... planting seeds, and moping about wanting to camp but people keep going places and needing critter care, and that is money in my pocket. Bob and I may have to buzz out to LaCygne lake and camp a weekend to get it out of my system for awhile...if the weather cooperates... Not looking forward to getting my stuff together for the tax prepare person.. Bob.

My Mom passed away this morning at age 89. She lived a long life and her passing was expected. We were not close -- she divorced and left us with Dad when I was 6. That taught me the fierce sense of independence that has allowed me the courage travel the country with Sena and Lily for close to 5 years.

Sorry Barb..... We cannot choose our family... Good, bad, or indifferent....

Diane toftSFM#64....... (The Original Fast Talking Sliding Finger Mutant) and is retired, duh!

We are now safe and sound in Yuma at the same site and location as we were the last time through. OK who wants to play??
Tried to call again - but don't have that burner phone number and the magic seems to have gone out of Jack???

Sorry to hear of your mom's passing, Barb. We each do the best we can given our capabilities at the time, & sometimes that means leaving, sad as that may be for a child. You've become a lovely, loving, caring person either because of or in spite of that event, and for that all of Mutantdom is grateful. We love you.

Lordy, lordy, you two! Quick reactions saved the day. Seems this was not a good day to go out and play trucks! Thank heavens you're safe and ready for safer fun and games!

Dennis, I had a mirror start wobbling on the post just a few months ago. I carry some wood shims with me and they came in very handy for shoring up the mirror and wrapping the shims with "plumber's" tape. It lasted two months until I could get to a place that could fix it. I could not loosen the set screw holding it in.

A package of the wood shims are cheap and light. I urge everyone to carry a package just in case and for anything.
