G'mornin' Dave!
Just enjoying one of the perks of retirement -- waiting until rush hour is over before venturing out.

Just getting around to breakfast... but been up and running for a few hours... critters to care for....
Good Morning!
Hope ya'll have some fun planned for the day!
Me... well, next up is my other non profit passion I go to twice a week for a few hours...

Sun's out today... and Farmers Almanac calender says today is a good day for planting root crops so I'll see if I can get a little of that done... have some baby beets and chard that are in need of pricking out and potting in their separate containers while we wait on weather to get more stable for planting them outside.

Been there when I was a teenager... was fun to run around in....but it is bright in full sun... need good sunglasses to reduce the glare so you can see afterwards when you go inside.

We stopped there a couple of years ago. Mary Ann's first cousin was born in Alamagordo when her father was in the service. That would have been early 50's. We illegally took a jar of white sand as a souvenir of her birthplace to give to MAW's cousin.

Families sure were having fun on their snow saucers sliding down the dunes.

Well, hey, you two! Good to hear from you from Hickory. (I lived up in Brevard for a couple of years and really liked that part of the country. Anything Piedmont and on uphill is great.)

C'mon back more often, will ya? I got that purty-please business down pat if'n ya need it!

Bzy! Walked, napped, coffeed, organized cabinets, cooked, and fluffed cotton for spinning. Oh, and watched Martin pay bills. Great entertainment, that. 😇

Ah, planting season again! I have the marker radishes up and the first intimations of chard &/or beets. Shoulda had all that and the tomatoes in before, but better late than ....

It's an exciting time, isn't it, when sprouts begin to appear? Not so much when the weeds follow, but easier to deal with in a planter box than in the big garden!

Let us know when you get the last of the gypsum out of the coach. 😈 Wonderfully persistent stuff, that! It's an amazing place, though, one I wouldn't have wanted to miss. Enjoy!
