I was hoping to go thru Carson City, NV on the trip back north so that I could met Russ and Myrna and see the trains. RIP Russ! Show Dunner how much fun he can have with trains, but watch out! He may want to modify them to increase their speed.

A visit with Russ was on our agenda for our return trip also. RIP.

We all know that steam locomotive drivers are the best people. We just wish we had been able to get there sooner.

Dennis, if you show up at the The Nevada State Railroad Museum and tell the crew you are there to honor Russ, you will be told how grand he was and perhaps some stories. They are all fine, dedicated, well-trained, volunteers.
If you wish to meet Myrna, I have her number. She would be pleased to meet you!
This goes for all RVMs!

This guy was out shopping today. Overkill for a parking lot but must be fun in the rough. Had 2 spare tires and a bicycle on the back.

Dunner, please look for Rusty and give him a ride on the dunes. He'll give you a fine ride in the cab of Inyo in return.
Dave
Bummer, sad to hear. RIP Russ.

Does Mirna read the thread? If so, our sincere condolences... It has to be one of the hardest things a person can do...letting go of a lifetime partner.
Has anyone posted on the memorial thread?
Someone ought to...Then clue Mirna in on it, it might be meaningful to her.
