And what about the Pontiac? I'd think after taking out 4 deer it would be time to call the salvage yard instead of the body shop. In July I would think most does are busy with fawns. I'm glad it was a buck. That's the only way to take one legally that time of year. Too funny that he tried to take out your wife. I hope she wasn't hurt.

That buck ran into her, not the other way around, he crumpled the fender, hood, and bumper and then twirled about and got both the drivers side doors, $3500 worth of damage, and every guy with a pickup that came by wanted to know if she wanted to keep it. ( she did of course ) I got there and picked him up and dressed him out and saved all the meat and made a mount for my gun shop, with a plaque " My wife's first 8-point buck in velvet" taken with a "98 Pontiac Gran Prix" that was priceless ..... hahahahahaha

Cheers !!!

Oh Marcia wasnt hurt at all, and the insurance company repaired it, although they grumbled some. It was finally totaled out after a guy hit her in the right rear wheel in January of 2011 and completely buckeled the rear suspension, we had 285,000 miles on that car and it didnt burn or leak oil and was still getting 26mpg. It easily had another 100,000 miles left in it, but it was going to cost more to fix it than what it was worth at that point. It had that 3.8 liter engine. it was a wonderful wonderful car.

The best part was the Heated leather seats when it was bitterly cold in Michigan....

Cheers !!!

Holy hallucinations Batman! One day... Just one day to drive back from Galveston to home base in Ft Worth and sooo many pages to catch up on. PT I see someone already gave you the info on finding the satellites which is good cause that wasn't my post originally. Barb and I don't have that option. Have a brand new dish that came with the coach and it has never been hooked up. Haven't missed it therefore, don't need it.

Hated to leave the sunshine, warm ocean waters and sandy beaches to come home to much cooler cloudy weather but hey... Give me lemons and I will make lemonade. Oh lest I forget... Goooood Mooorning Muteys!

Steve there is no excuse for us dude. You and Annie are too close to Barb and I for us not to have our own mini curiosity soon. But I have to say....Wayne and Earlene already adopted us LOL or did we adopt them? Hmmmm wish we could have been here when DavenDeb blew thru town so we could have joined you.

Anyway.... Counting down the days when the GC will be here. I'm more excited for that than Christmas....and it's a whole lot cheaper !

Make it a great day on the rainbow today and we'll be livin the dream too.

Herb - agreed on the no excuses but would say you've been like a pinball bouncing around the rainbow like there's no tomorrow. I do sometimes feel like it's closer to Hot Springs than to Ft Worth though. We will work it out for sure. Right now I have winterizing on my mind and wondering what precautions you'll be taking for those one off freeze spells we get. South or just keep the heater going??

We're certainly with you on the excitement level mounting for the GC @ CL. As a possible pre-CL curiosity - we may think about a journey up to Choctaw Casino. The KOA there is a concrete jungle and a little pricy - but we've been several times - the little airport like shuttles pick you up at your door and run 24 hours. Never won or lost much but always had a great time. Annie and I enjoy playing the slot machines together and the fancy restaurant makes a great prime rib. Not cheap either but ya can't take it with ya.

Have fun catching up with the mutants. Maybe we'll hear from Sue today! Curious to hear about any buffet stampedes and other high seas adventures on the water rainbow.

Just a thought.
About halfway twixed us is Casa Grande. A fine place for a confab and great Mexican cuisine is Mi Amigo Ricardo.

Before or after that, Eloy airport is just a few rock throws south, where you can just park, pick a chair or picnic table, and watch the sky divers land right in front of you.

A Roman spear. It is half way there before you throw it.

Steve, be careful about asking for advice on winterizing, you will get more opinions on what you should do than you can keep up with. For a good example just read under Fleetwood section, "Lazy man winterizing".

The Discovery sets in a insulated building just a few strps from my S&B so turning on an electric heater when needed will most likely be what I do. I like to be ready to roll when the road calls. If power goes out I keep a propane heater I use in deer stand handy and can always start furnace.

Dwayne, it's great to have the right equipment. I thought I had gotten the very best muzzleloader but think now I just got a lazy one. Took gun out to woods, man said gun would kill at 150yds, set gun in open door of deer stand and set back. Over a 3 1/2 hour period 2 does, a yearling and a 6 point walked by. Lazy gun did nothing, raises questions to statement "guns kill".

Going to kitchen now to check out the silverware, just heard spoons are making people fat!

Good luck.

Tim - I've followed the unbelievable number of pink stuff threads too. Last year about this time I drained HW heater - bypass valve set - unhooked ice maker lines - drained all water - put a couple gallons water in holding tanks and added pink stuff there and to p-traps. That was it. With a couple months of time drained I felt like the lines dried out pretty well. Didn't even blow the lines out. We had a few days of freeze - but usually warmed up daily. No problems. The thing is we just never know what we may get where cold is concerned. Still pondering.
