For the coveted mutant number, please tell us one thing that your RV does not have and you don't miss. When you do that you will only have one more thing left. Quote after me, "The journey is the the destination!"

Hey, I think I know your cousin. Was his nickname "Santa?"

Barb, we planted a mimosa in our back yard were there had been a redbud the wind broke off and killed... it hasn't bloomed yet, but ought to be pretty in say, 3-4 years.
We had quite a bit of wind yesterday, another of the flowing pear trees lost a large branch yesterday. I have a love/hate relationship with them. They are now being considered noxious pests in the prairie areas... the original Bradford type pear trees which were seedless have crossed with other imported asian varieties and now they make seeds and are upsetting the high prairie ecosystems. They have branch junctions which just are too acute and cause weak junctions, so the heavy crowns tend to shear off large gaping areas the trees struggle for years to mend... most of them succumb to disease and rot from the large wounds made when the branch gets ripped off by the wind.
Gee... I'm wordy this AM... more coffee, less yakkng. LOL!

Marty, I remember seeing lots of Bradford pear trees with huge limbs damaged by ice after one Oklahoma ice storm. I'm surprised they are so popular. Mother Nature is not very kind to some of her children.

Steve, I sure wish I could.... My contract does not end until September, then I have a Camp Host gig in AL lined up at least through the end of the year, if I don't extend it till March '17... Then another Camp Host position is waiting for me in NC in April '17.... That may last for several months as well... We will just have to see what shakes out as time passes...

Ok, Been months since I've been here... shorts version.
RV finally back after 3 months at Leo'so Rv. They fixed everything as promised, plus rebuilt my entire frontend.
We are on our first major trip at Hilton Head Motorcoach Resort SC. Great place, we'll kept, but not cheap. Trip of 700 miles down was uneventful, with ano over night at Walmart in Dillon Sc. 6 others there, very safe and mostly quiet.
Since I last posted 2 of our family have taken the rainbow vridge. Gus our Lab passed and our Maine Coon cat as well. It has been tough for the wife and I. We still have our Macaw and our Tabby...both enjoying the trip.
Will post an after action report when we get home in a few days.

Glad you are back on the road!
Are you planning on being with those of us gathering in Maine in August?

Good to hear from you, RVM124! Before you book all of 2017 -- we're trying to put together a Grande Curiosity for mid August 2017 along the Oregon Coast so we can been some of the first in the U.S. to see the total lunar eclipse. I'm hoping to scout out campgrounds on my way to Seattle for the summer.

Sounds like everyone has some great trips planned!
Since I am a very new newbie, I had to share my joy...we are taking our very first trip in our RV next weekend to a local state park. Our three pups are going with us. I have been dreaming about this for a long time and hope to take long trips someday and meet some of you Mutants.
