The Great Northern Arizona Mutant Campfire

Have I mentioned that I like campfires? They add ambiance to any gathering. They create an atmosphere where mutants can exchange long-lost stories of our youth and stories of our rainbow riding adventures. Campfires set the tone for relaxation and helps to confirm our decision to join this "diverse" group of strangers that we met on the internet.

We met new-to-us mutants. Nissa (61), Paul and Chris (108), and Mike and Lin (134). Swell folks that you'll love to meet.

Dead Horse Ranch State Park is EXCELLENT. They don't need sewer hook-ups to be a RVer's favorite destination.

Experenced rain for the first time since the first week of January.

Steve outdid himself with the smoked edible creatures (with the help of Paul).

Ohms to sweet Annie. We need to generate super dupper thoughts and prayers that somehow the Lord takes pity of this wonderful gal and allows her to FULLY enjoy the rainbow experience. We miss her full involvement in the "goings on" around here. We miss her sweet little swagger footsteps while she creates a festival out of a picnic table or pavilion. Oh SWEET Annie, please go find the right doctor to soothe your ailing parts.

Well, it's off to breakfast in Cottonwood with fellow mutants Jeff and Marcia and Mel and Kate (who BTW can't wipe the smiles off their faces since retiring).

Well said as usual, Papaw Steve! No wonder you are the Mutant Master of Lucidity. Hey it's starting to rain again! Stay dry if you can.

Starting to mist a bit here in P-Rump. Pulled the short bus onto gravel yesterday to avoid the eventual mud of it's normal roost. Forecast says rain for 4 days which means warm & sunny.

Gazing upon the cliff dwellings at Montezuma Castle National Monument it dawned on me the reason (explanation) for the vanishing of the native peoples who lived in these dwellings.

You heard it here first my fellow mutants.

When native American mothers became exasperated with their loud, rambunctious, and misbehaving children, they would shout "Take it outside". The family lineage dwindled quickly.

I know, only an STM could wonder this far from a normal thought pattern.

Thanks, Sue. We wish youse coulda been here! Mahvelous place this is. So much to see! We will definitely be back.

And you missed probably the best smoke job Flaggship has EVER undertaken. He outdid himself. On that note ...

If anyone has ever eaten ribs at the famous Country Tavern near Kilgore, TX, you know that their ribs are nothing short of amazing. Well, as one who has eaten at CT a number of times, I can tell you that Steve's ribs surpassed the Tavern's ribs. I kid you not. He could put them out of business!

We are a definite IN for Oregon and the RVMoon eclipse. (If Murphy Mutant keeps on acting right, we should be able to make it.)

Di, y'all were so smart to go for that new coach! I am really ready to trade up, but convincing my better half ... Well, that may take a while. Sigh.
