And the fossilized trees and invertebrates are fascinating. Some samples had uranium seep in to the original wood, turning them mustard yellow. Others had had parasites in them which produced colorful rings and rays in the fossils.

I'll put in a few pics here, but can't possibly do it justice. Attachment 124118 Martin & I posed in the same spot where Albert Einstein & his wife were photographed, just for giggles. I was there with the old knees and avoided hiking. Sue you have inspired me to make a return trip now that I can walk out aways from the car. The weather isn't too hot yet either. We should be up that way in about 10 days. Thanks!

actually, when I was there in Jr. High for a month, the folks I was with in Trumbull/Shelton area just said it was the difference between 'the valley' dialect and the rest of them... All I know was It was an education... and those folks from Boston and New York sure spoke even weirder! And they had the audacity to think I spoke funny and slow... Everyone I knew back home in Kansas spoke just like me! LOL!

From the 3rd to the 7th grade I spent the school year in Texas and the summers in New York City. Every time I switched locations the kids all laughed at my accent until I started speaking like they did. I learned to change my speech pattern to mimic those around me.

Now I don't care and speak in whatever voice suits me. I used to be amazed by actors who could totally change accents until I realized that I was doing the same thing.
