In a car it should be a wonderful adventure, but once you get to the top of the mountain the fun part is over. Think of the road from Cottonwood thru Jerome on steroids.

In our motor home pulling Smarty -- white knuckles and frequent pulling off when there is some shoulder to let a long string of cars pass.

Yes Wayne, I should have looked at the Satellite view.

Shara, Dwayne, Hoping the doc can get ideas to improve mom's condition that won't cost her health too much down the road a ways... Hoping she gets to make it down the road a ways, yet.

Yesterday went off the rails... instead of getting my garden planted it got taken up with care giving to a younger relative who is attempting to dry out from a couple of weeks Whiskey bender. She's had a long hard row to hoe in her life already, I hope she can kick it and leave it alone. She manages to go 30-31 or so days and then ends up having another bender streak...She has lost almost all her hair clients, and she is such a talented hair stylist. It is a shame what life has handed her, and how hard she has had to fight to get anywhere in life, and yes, life handed her an alcoholic father, brother, and herself it's genes... on top of a mentally unstable mother from before her birth. Now, hopefully, I can get the garden in... come on Karma... shine down on me! I've got a lot of work to do and I need the energy to get it all done!

I can feel the ooomss... I have only 33 tomatoes yet to get in before dark.... earth day... yup... I'm out playing in the dirt... can't think of a more fitting way to celebrate!
Trying to remember if tonight is the full moon... seems like it might be top crops in the light of the moon, root crops in the dark of the moon....

You know they worked day and night way back when, and do now right? I was amazed by the farming in Yuma. Those folks know what they're doing 24/7.

Big hug for honoring Earth Day!

Oops Edit - and Omms your direction. Hugs for being a hugger.

Marty, the full moon was yesterday in Sedona. I was hoping to see lots of stars while camped in the National forest, but with so much moonlight I couldn't see many stars, but didn't need a flashlight when I went to get something out of the basement.

Have you considered giving that younger relative an introduction to dirt therapy? I know it always helped me solve all the world's woes -- ok, maybe not all of them, but they sure seemed better after a few hours of digging planting and weed pulling.

Giant dirty Earth Day hugs, dear friend.

Marty, I agree with Barbs idea: dirt therapy!
It was my therapist and friend, a confidante, and it calmed me.
I recommend violets and tomatoes.

A hard rain just left us.
Nola has crystals in the front window.
The sun peeked out.
