Maybe tomorrow if the weather cooperates.. I rested yesterday as I was a bit sore from Saturday and Friday's activity. This getting older stuff sometimes sucks.... wish I had all the energy I had 20 years ago! LOL!

Good for you, though! Good job!

I'm with you on that energy thing. It's late to start some things in IL, and I'll be draggin' tail trying to get at it. One consolation: the Patio tomato and one pepper plant I've carried around most of the winter are doing well, fruit on one and blooms on the other. Squash are sprouted, but will they transplant? Swiss chard might; beets probably not.

Only another gardener will understand ... or give a rattzzz. 😏

You have related what my gardening in Spring was for, like, forever!
But I loved it!

Sue... I successfully transplanted beet plants... now whether they actually make beets underground, we'll see if not... I can clip their baby tops and add those to salads right now!

I used to plant beets REAL close in the rows, so I was "forced" to thin them TWICE. Beets greens!

Nice park, indeed. Hope you two get to the Palo Duro some day, and during the time when the outdoor musical drama is performed. It's a must-see!

Somehow you managed to corral those little tykes despite the boot. I have a little bit of an idea how much energy that took. Uh.... LOTS.

I admire anyone who gardens with as much zest, energy, gusto, and can-do as you do, Marty. My money says you're a Master Gardener. Right?![/I]

I spoke to my personal gardener and requested the rows actually were a little wider. It's difficult to get my shopping cart between the rolls.

Actually there was a time that I planted all of my garden where I could get a bush hog between rolls. Things would get out of hand with a large garden and three boys playing baseball!

It was an Alpha and one of the prettiest class A units I have ever seen.

Strange how a woman could have such good taste picking me over all the other available males in BC and have such poor taste when it comes to an RV we could upgrade to.

Does your head still hurt where the frying pan (or was it a rolling pin) hit it, Dennis?

Looking to see if anyone has gone to Fredericksburg, TX..........if so where did you stay and how did you like it there? Any recommendations on what to do there? Heading over for my birthday and mother's day - to hard to be away from all the kids and grands so tying to go somewhere instead.

I didn't plant a very big garden this year - but its doing great! We will see how it goes this year in TX - I am used to WA gardening so have to learn new tricks.

Yup! But the reason I'm putting in so much is so we have a full stand at market garden... I'm not sur ei can keep up the pace all summer though! LOL!
Hopefully, Sara's garden will provide enough so I don't have to do a whole lot more...between the 2 we'll have enough. Just hoping I won't have to spend a lot of gas money running back and forth when she's 7-8 months along to work her garden and mine....But I can't wait to find out the gender of this baby coming in Sept. They are keeping us all in suspense.
