Big day today! Starting around 10 a baby shower given for my DIL and son. It's being given by aunts and sister in laws but at my house due to room, large crowd expected! Oh boy! Gifts have been dropped off the last few days between rain showers so it already is crowded in the living room. I know it's going to be fun.
Then this afternoon two of my sons and their families will be grilling steaks for my birthday! I don't think there will be a pinyota like my mutant family has provided in the past but there will be grandkids!
Later muteys!

Now for a different topic ...
We are camped at a beautiful campground in Prescott National Forest. After spending the day in town, we got back to our site to find a group of about 12 or 14 Jr. hi age girls and several adults piling out of two passenger vans (one was pulling a big trailer with gear). They set up 4 or 5 tents on a SINGLE campsite where you can have a maximum of 8 (that may be high) people and two tents. They are yelling and making terrible racket and I am going to see the campground host tomorrow about it. He actually drove by in his golf cart while they were setting up and didn't stop to say anything to them. Go figure. Sigh.
|
That happened to me the first year I got my MH. Went to a state park and a few spots down an entire girl scout regiment shows up (exaggerating just a bit). But they went on with all kinds of noise up till around midnight and then they went silent. Next morning they all arose, packed up and left. My next evening there was much more peaceful.

Was just trying to figure out if I should wave or not. I'll wave anyhow.

It doesn't take much to make a loud hissing sound, for sure. Did you crawl (look) under at the point where the hissing was the loudest? We were traveling when I noticed my air pressure had dropped to 75 psi - both tanks. Very concerned I stopped and heard that troubling hissing noise. Turned out to be the relief valve stuck open on the air dryer. The air pump kept the PSI above the 60 psi level so the alarm did not go off.
It is also very important to check your gauges and watch for the dash indicator lights that something is wrong to come on. I missed a "Stop Engine," light once and found myself dead in the street.
Search on the words "checking air system on RV" for some informational review.

Bet you were very happy they were there only one night! I'd say you were lucky!
I got up early this morning, stepped outside with my cuppa and saw they had set up tent #4 just over into our campsite. Sigh. There goes our peace and quiet, and our privacy around the campfire. So, rather than fume about all this I have decided to go meet the adults and find out where they're from and ask them about their group. Might as well try and make friends and go with the flow, or, as is the RVM custom, Mutate! If you can't beat 'em, join 'em! They are likely here til tomorrow afternoon. (At least I hope it's not for longer.)

Happy Happy Birthday to all the mutants wherever you are.
We have a story but no time for it now. We spent the night in the Twin Arrows Casino parking lot just outside of Flagstaff. Film at 11.

Well round one, the shower is complete, 26 people in 18 vehicles made my place get real small . Now all we need is the baby due later part of June. No chance it'll hit my bd which was a few days ago. House is quit now as the boys and families have run into town. They should be back soon to grill the steaks for tonight's celebration. Taking this opportunity to catch up.
