The interface is no more distracting than changing your heater settings or futzing with your radio or picking up your cuppa whatever, etc. It's not like texting at all, it does not require an eye focus like texting.

An example - if it hasn't already told you there is a vehicle parked on the shoulder 1/2 mile ahead of time (far enough you're not likely to see it), by the time you do see it (probably 1/3 of a mile), you can then say, oh, I'll report this. You click a button, it shows more buttons, you click the next button and then one more and the report is done. There is no rush to do each button quickly (similar to changing radio settings) and by the time that 1/3 of a mile goes by, whether you reported it or not doesn't much matter. Waze somehow gets the location more accurate by multiple users or some magical algorithm, no clue, I just know it works.

And I will say this, not that I'm speeding or anything, the ability for it to report where the police are beats even the old days when everyone had a CB. It's uncanny how accurate it is. I've rarely been surprised to see a police car somewhere that Waze hasn't already told me about.

If you've never used it, just try it in map mode, you'll be amazed how much it knows about what's going on with the road directly in front of you and even further ahead.

LOL, perhaps. That's funny. I guess in my current situation I would like to quickly see how much, how long, etc. any thought of any trip would be. If I was full-timing and/or retired, I would not require this level of trip planning because I'd get there when I got there. But for today, being able to say, OK, Lincoln City OR, how long per day do I need to drive to get there and how much vacation time will that be. It's useful for 500+ mile trips. Anything under that it's not programmed well to handle and sometimes you get negative breaks which I have no idea what that means

Well, I did find another good use for it - my BIL thought he'd ride his Harley trike to Ruskin (1400 miles) later this month. After I stopped laughing, I said, you must be joking (he has a lot of medical issues at the moment which are quite disabling in nature) and he kept going on how he'd make it in 4 days or whatever. So I plugged in the numbers and sent him and my sister a picture of what he'd have to do in order to even get there in 5 days and I think the trip is off for now. They'll just take the car

Carl... I think several of us once had a spreadsheet for everything.

Without them I wouldn't be out here now.

Me either, Steve. The manager at Always will take pics of us with the new coach, and I'll post one as soon as I can.

Carl, I am so excited that I can't sleep! Well, I take that back. We hit the hay at our hotel about 8:30pm. Then I woke up - wide awake at midnight.

Their detail crew starts on it at 8:00am and will clean every cabinet, drawer, nook and cranny. Then at 10:00 we start the walk-through with the service manager (Seve's guy, Dave, who does independent PDIs). We were told he is very thorough and to allow a few hours for the walk-through. He will go over every system, everything on the inside and outside of the coach. Kate is going to video much of the walk through.

Our friend Laurie, from Prescott, is off on Friday and is going to help us move eveything from Murphy over to the New coach. Still haven't come up with the name yet. I like Dennis's idea (Makea), but Kate wants to live in the new coach for a while before deciding on a name.

I'm still pinching myself! We had dinner last night at the hotel and kept saying, "We are REALLY doing this!" and laughing!

Pics very soon, Mutants. Very soon.

I forgot another neat feature it offers - sharing your ride. If another person has Waze you can send them your trip and it'll allow that other user to watch where you are as you travel.

What I WAZE....
When I start out, i check the traffic pattern to figure out my route, then scan for police and wrecks.... Then sei it aside and drive..... I use it here in town and on long trips.... Used it coming home from AZ to take a detour around stop and go traffic on east side of OKCity....
Btw i pronounced it like it looks and a coupke of years ago my son said no mom, it is like ways.....

Esy to use.... Very effective.... Kinda like getting used to Gas Buddy... Now it is just a habit....

Jeep Mutants got my new jeep flip top in.... Pictures later.... Like the best of both hard top and soft top.

The pre-trip is how I used it back when I had to commute to work. It was a great time saver in DFW traffic. Or at least prepared me for the long slog home or to the office.

Mel and Kate...
the laughter will continue!

Video is a great idea. We had a friend and his wife with us taking notes and pics. And since I don't climb ladders, my friend went up and took pics there for me.

What a great day on the outer rainbow this is. So happy for youse two!

I wonder if I used that app if I would have found some of the great camping places we got to on the trip last winter. Us getting stuck on the highway while construction was happening along the Virgin River Canyon bridges lead us to the Virgin River Canyon Campground that we have very fond memories of on our way home. Sometimes its fun to just amble along seeing what happens.

BTW in picture 2 you can see all of Dwayne's great work repairing what I "OOPSed" in Yuma.
