We've been out of cellphone range for 3 days and only 120 posts. Thanks for holding down the chatter until I can ketchup. We are in Carey, ID trying to decide if we'll drop down to Twin Falls or cut across to Boise. I really like Twin Falls, but it all depends on the weather. We got sleet and snow last night. I'm looking for some warm sunshine. Later!

Can they make one of the new fangled - surge / voltage / line type transfer switches work?

For example...

Plan it and they will come. Do they have a nice RV park with FHU, 50 amp and room for 25 or more mostly big rigs? A pavilion or meeting room is a plus. Then find a great weather week and you're half way there.

Unlike Murphys issue, you need to be Houdini to even see the problem!

I tied a wash cloth around it like a tourniquet, it helps keep it off the floor!
Has anyone suggested this Tim? Better than duct tape and baling wire. WAY better than a wash cloth.

Time for a nice Progressive Industries model. I really like the fact that their units have user replaceable parts and the lifetime warranty. Great customer service.

This is a relatively easy install and no compatibility issues. It can be installed before the ATS to only monitor shore power or after the ATS to monitor both shore and generator power.

Ok, we are in Twin Falls. At the turn off to Boise the sign said "Scenic" which in this case meant over a mountain. Sky towards Twin Falls -- Blue, sky towards Boise -- Gray and visible rain. It was a no contest head south decision.

Hey Mel, until you figure out how to rotate your pics, why not edit them 90* in your phone before sending?

And I am officially ketched up! Whew! Headed into Costco. Anyone need anything?

You chose wisely, Sister Grasshopper. Blue always wins if I have a choice.
On pics, yes, if the pics are rotated 90* to the right on the phone they should be upright here. I had an early iPhone that worked that way.
I don't need anything from Costco, but I did secret away a few nifty gadgets for when the Kimono next opens.

I am interested, have you scouted a site & date yet??

If you dont have anything tacked down yet, you might want to look at a "Sister" site of Catherines Landing near Medina, web: Medina Highpoint Resort in Texas - RVC Outdoor Destination

Just some food for thought...

You would know more about that area than I would...

Again, YES I am interested...

Hey Don ....

I like Progressive Industries stuff very much, but unfortunately the CW didn't have one, all they had was a 50amp Surge Guard and only one at that. For the last two days we have been limping along on open neutral and if I felt we could have waited I would have. Anyway the deed is done and its working as it should and seeing as it's humid as Hades here in San Antonio we now can run both A/C's ... Whew .....

Cheers !!!!

Re: the weather issue, if maybe in "shoulder season", we might plan to get there either on our way further west or on our way back east in the spring. Hill country is a great area and I'd love an excuse (!) to go back. Mutants make grand excuses!
