My deceased SIL's step father is on life support in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. Years ago he battled throat and face cancer with recontructive surgery etc. A fine man facing his final journey.
My 16 yo DGD and 11 yo DGS have finished their musical "Bridge to Terabithia" It was excellent. DGD is the primary makeup artist for next week's "Shrek" musical (another theatre group sought her out to give them some help).
13 yo DGS and 9 yo DGS are "neck deep" in baseball. 6 yo DGS is busy being a cute 6 yo.
Mary Ann and I are hosting a pinochle party this weekend. Thirteen old friends from Michigan and Indiana (most are Dow Chemical retirees) are coming to my DD's house for food, fun, and nonstop chitchat. I'm always the chef for this annual gathering.

Hello Mutants !!!
Well last night was a night of powerful storms, wind and rain and soggy ground. These people two streets over had an uninvited guest at 1am, and today clean up begins.
Avoid trees if you can, ... Oh the Humanity ....

Hi Steve! Hi Annie! We are doing ok, thanks for asking. Ole' "You can call him Ray" has temporarily returned to work on a project for the past several months but hopefully that is about to wrap up and he can resume retiree status. We have also been dealing with my little MIL's failing health and diminished cognition. So not much travel or fun going on around here. The Bounder has been in storage since last November, dusty and forlorn.
I am watching the Fredericksburg discussion with some interest as we might be able to swing that. I hope all is well with all the Mutants, and my best to those having challenges.

How about making the gaps in the fence narrower so that its head and horns can't get through in the first place.
Of course being Welsh I only have experience with sheep

Hi Sarah and Steve,
Thankfully no one was hurt, the power went out at 12:45pm and they were out checking on things when the limb let loose so they weren't in bed, which was a good thing since thats where the limb ended up coming to rest on. It was definitely not a restful night for them.

Best wishes and ohms for your MIL, Sarah.
Fredericksburg has a lot of us paying attention. I predict a good sized gathering.

Perfect scenario would be storage spot with 20 amp. plug-in to keep batteries up. Being under some form of cover is not an issue for 5 - 6 weeks of storage
Haven't called the RV park (that's on line) yet but the charge $2.00 per foot outside. They charge $125 under a shelter. They charge $180 per month while plugged in at a campsite. I'm good with all of these prices.
We plan to drive from the GC in Texas in early November. Leave the RV in "snow free zone" for 5 - 6 weeks and then pick it up when we're headed for the winter location in Florida. Thanx Sarah

R U an RV Mutant too?
My DGD Megan's hubby is away. Meg said
"Well Ms. Hayden you certainly already have your daddy wrapped around your little finger! Even though daddy's away in Poland he sent you a surprise gift box today! You got: jersey sheets, a super fluffy blanket, your own monkey, icy teething ring and a move and crawl ball. You are so loved little girl! Daddy and I can't wait to hold you!"
I'm gonna stock up on buttons
