Good Morning Mutants, .....

Well today is another day of serious rain storms in Wet Texas, it has been a very long time since I have seen so much water flowing over the ground.

Cheers !!!!

Stay dry... it's hard to believe there were drought conditions not so long ago.

Jeff, you may hafta break out your poontoons, or does your Beaver love water. Oh, I know -- she built a dam and is waiting for her newly created pond to fill up. It wasn't that long ago that the farmers and ranchers of west Texas would pay hustlers to "make it rain".

Stay dry, my Words buddy, stay warm.

Update on GC in Fredericksburg TX:
31 October - 7 November 2016

The RV park that can handle our size of group is:
FREDERICKSBURG KOA
5681 East US Highway 290
Fredericksburg, TX 78624
(830) 997-4796
fdbgkoa@beecreek.net

They have a new "Party Room" which we will be able to use as well. I will pay the clean up deposit and as long as we return the room clean I get my money back. :-)

All member’s must call to make their reservations and at the time of reservation they will give you a 10% discount on the rate too.

So to make reservations you need to call (830) 997-4796. Let them know you are part of the RVMutant Rally.

There is no river that runs through or by it, but Lady Bird Johnson Park is not far away from this RV park and you can fish there. I am looking for river access for canoeing etc. too.

Lady Bird Johnson Municipal Park

3 miles South of Fredericksburg on Hwy. 16 S (Call park for directions, GPS is not always accurate). Baseball and softball fields, swimming pool, tennis courts, picnic tables and fishing, nature trail

The crown jewel of Fredericksburg’s recreational parks is the 150 acre Lady Bird Johnson Municipal Park. Rolling hills and rambling Live Oak Creek set the stage for a beautiful day. It is a place to rest, relax and enjoy nature. Five pavilions (four with barbecue pits) serve as the spot for birthday parties, class and family reunions, school field trips, wedding and more. Baseball/softball fields are available for a casual game or can be reserved. A sand volleyball court and outdoor basketball courts are available. The park offers a beautiful setting for large and small groups no matter the occasion.

Five outdoor pavilions
Baseball field
Softball field
Practice field
Volleyball court
Basketball court
Tennis courts
Swimming pool (open summer months only)
Fishing at Live Oak Creek

Colleen, it would be helpful to post the dates again so folks don't have to go scrolling back to far to find them.... Thanks for all the work you are putting into this!

Sohapi, It sounds like too much fun but Denise and I will not be able to attend. We wish we were closer to be able to be there as it would be fun to see just how big Wayne's World really is.

Today's moving day and we ate headed to the northern extremity of the Island to a park we both love; Cluxewe. (Cluxewe Resort | Port McNeill, Vancouver Island, BC) We will be there until Monday when we wend our way home to await visitors from back east.

GC is set for 31 October - 7 November 2016

For a RV that is 45' long and towing it would be $49 a night, and that does not include the 10% discount. I will find out about a weekly rate.

Thanks Possum for noticing I left the dates off.
