Hey Dwayne,

I was at an auto show in central Indiana last weekend. One of the vendors was selling a 1968 American Eagle coach like yours, fixed up as an RV. I'm pretty sure it wasn't the one you bought though - yours looks to be in better shape on the outside...

US2 is a great highway in an MGB or similar.

When I moved west from Ontario I took #2 and found it amazing and beautiful and I was driving a B train. Some interesting grades and views in the three westernmost states.

BTW, when's a good time to call; other than never?

When we speak in private I'll let you know who my friend is. Well, actually with all of them running around in my head I have to wait for one to come to the front - and then it's him. (Earlene will not let me have "hers.")

You can call anytime my time - waking hours. Or, call me and tell me when I can call you. One of those should work.

Not now - I'm going to bed. Let me explain.

I thought the worst road was US-199 out of Crescent City to Grant's Pass. It was Earlene's idea to go to I-5 a few years ago to continue our trip. Well, her idea of that being the worse highway was incorrect.

Today we had the wars of the GPS's. Mine told me to go one way and her mapping program said to go another way. I gave in and followed her directions. In all honesty, 99% of the time her mapping program is better than my GPS program. Today was a 1 percent trip. Trust me, I did not want to be on California R3 highway. I never got over 35mph and most of the time it was 25 mph or less, with steep grades, very twisty-turny roads and no where to turn around and say the heck with this. We were only about 76 miles from our destination but that drive on R3 made it seem like 4 hours instead of 1 and a half. My dash cam pictures do not do it justice. There was no way to keep the mh and the toad off of the lines going around the turns, they were just to tight.

We made it and the journey was surely the destination but looking back I can say, "Never again R3." When we told our friends here and other people their eyes got big and said, "You didn't! With a motorhome?"

I believe we will do I90 to east coast. With some side trips for friends and fun.
Grades not too much of a problem as we don't go very fast even on level
ground. Most of my hurry WAS TO GET OUT OF California. Way too expensive
there.

We will be back in California in October, for Dr. appointments and to see kids.

Then south for winter. Wayne, not sure where we are going to stay for winter.
If close will give a holler.

The only thing worse than a booth is a pink booth! I anxiously await the pics of your new dining room. And the rest of your projects, too.

Hey Paula and Jim! I'm in Seattle until Fall. Give me a shout if you have time for a mini-C when you get here.
