As stated SKP is a private park in as much as you need to be a member or a member's guest. We have had some very good luck luck in SKP parks. Sutherlin, OR was $115 for a week and a beautiful park also with turkey (not me) deer, rabbits, etc. roaming around the grounds including the RV spaces. This one is $25 a night and for California in this vicinity is a good price. They have locations scatters all of the US with about 1 dozen major parks and the rest Co-op.

I will not spoil her anymore, but she reads this thread - so I have to be careful what I write.

I copied some pics from the S5 to my laptop today. Even with the 32 gig card and 16 on the phone - they've gotta come off. Got about 6,500 pics off. Need to move the card off next. Then backup to the 1T drive or is it 2... Once Isee what I've got I will reconsider buying cloud space.
|
I have 3 external hard drives, those little ones that look like a deck of cards and each is 2TB. I"m an information hoarder and I have 25,000 plus a few pictures and 134 videos on my phone (128Gb model) I wouldn't have that much if I could get Earlene to stop taking pictures of wind turbines when we are going down the highways. One of my hard drives is for automatic back-up of this laptop when we are on the road. The other two are for - well whatever as my paranoia kicks in and I copy files from one to the other just to make sure I have them covered. I also have 200 Gb on the cloud but that just backs up Phones and Pads. Paranoia? Probably, but I have lost data in the past and it sucks.
Didn't you use to have a Fruit phone? You have an ID on the cloud and 200Gb is $2.99 a month.

I haven't given it much thought. The 6% grades for miles is not a problem but I have been in the situation with a stop sign half way down and that is not fun when you are not expecting it. I stopped in time but I had this particular smell emanating from the brake pads. (Or was it the seat?)

Don't recall - but think you have the Garmin RV 760. With the sharp turn warnings and speed limit change notifications, seems to me you would be fine.

Yep! All the above. For climbing I don't use cruise. I set my foot accelerator to the cruise speed, turn cruise off and never move my accelerator. It takes care of itself going up the hills and once in a while I will mechanically down-shift. Since I'm on cruise 99% of the time the exhaust brake is always on. Should I find it necessary to use the brake the exhaust brake comes on and considerably helps slowing down the RV.
Love the 760. The warnings for sharp curves and grade descents is a plus on that GPS system. If anyone is upgrading their GPS system the Garmin 760 LMT is my recommendation. Is that the one you have also?

R U an RV Mutant too?
Hills, brakes, odors, farm marketing, luscious preserves, and many more things I am doing ketchup on. But won't get caught up soon.
Family, friends, neighbors, festivals, doctors, but no lawyers, but I do know a soothe sayer or two.
Have a great time. Remember our fallen.
And an update for Bah Hawbah:
Flagg, Steen, Wohlford, Cutter, Hrezo, McCarville, Freeman, Grifford & Miller
9 (NINE) STMs! And I think our reputation (which often preceeds us) will leave a mark on Maine!

Yep... 760 LMT. I wouldn't travel without it. I can only compare it to the CRV GPS - and the Garmin RV 760 is hands down superior.

Just for you Dave so you can add to your repertoire. Last evening we had a surprise birthday dinner for my 16 YO GD. She did not know we were going to be there. However, for your use, our son is a lawyer. So there.

...and much better than the Lincoln GPS. (Earlene doesn't like the way I talk to the GPS.)

No it's not! We are at "the place."

Hwy 2 across WA state is a beautiful drive. We did it in a little mini class c. I would do it again in a heart beat, but then I'm use to mountains. If anyone is interested and has time for a detour, Lewiston ID is only a 2 hr drive from Spokane WA or Couer d' Alene ID. Hint hint!

So - yes it would be grand - but must be mutantley timed. If we work it right I will look like an oversized racoon.

We will check our schedule and give you a call before we make any move your way.
Your needs and "bleeds" obviously trump our yet-to-be-determined availability for the 3 hour tour to Carlock. Do your scheduling at will and we will be in touch to see what works for youse guys. We're thinking of ya.

Thanks Steve. Annie and we're just talking about you. I belive the sign just down from the park says Indianapolis 176 miles...
I think I have found an internist that I will switch to for maintenence meds. More likely to be returning to Normal than DFW area from here on out. Same one the outlaws use. And - a ENT surgeon. But can't get started making appointments until Tuesday.
I will let ya know how it goes. We are thinking it might be nice to come your way too. Maybe try to get into your home park and see if Ed and Jackie can come up.
All the medical stuff has to clear first, but I'm also thinking about heading over to see Paul and Chris in New Hampshire and then go north to PEI. It's all a matter of timing at this point. And of course my 1/2 art / 1/2 magic travel routine.
Updates as they come in... film at 11.

Hey Steve and Mary Ann,
We leave San Antonio Wednesday morning heading toward New Orleans and then north. We have to be in Ft. Wayne on the 6th of June but are planning on boondocking at the casino in Anderson, and want to make sure we have a chance for a mini-c dinner. Are you going to be home ?
Jeff

Would love to see it, but fully understand. You wouldn't believe how much food goes unphotographed... lol.
